Lillys POV
The snow was crunching under my feet as I walked through the woods. It was peaceful, I liked it. Even though, I am a lioness I do love snow, the fun you could have with it. It's just a shame the reason we have snow. It has been snow for 100 years and I do miss the warmth. The white witch cursed all of Narnia into eternal winter, it has been this way for such a long time that I forget what it was like before.
The sky was always clear however, it never snowed, the snow just never melts. I was walking through the outskirts of the woods near the lamppost. Heading to my dearest friend Mr. Tumnus' house when I heard shouting and screams. I ran towards where the sound came from and saw Mr. Tumnus hiding behind a tree. But suddenly my attention went to the young dwarf girl standing behind the lamppost. Her hair was in a bob that just reached above her shoulders and she was wearing the strangest clothes. I stayed back to see what was going on. The dwarf slowly walked forward and picked up one of the fauns packages. ' Uh uh,' he stuttered taking the package out of her hand. ' Were you hiding from me' the dwarf asked. 'uh well, I just I, I didn't want to scare you.' He replied picking up the rest of his packages. ' If you don't mind my asking what are you?' The dwarf replied, her eyes lingering on his legs. I was confused had she never seen a faun before.' I'm a faun, and what about you? you must be some kind of beardless dwarf.' The girl looked at the faun like he had said something really funny.' I'm not a dwarf, I'm a girl and actually, I'm the tallest in my class.' My eyes grew wider as she stopped to look at the faun. That's not possible, a human in Narnia. ' You mean to say you're a daughter of Eve' The faun replies shocked 'My mum's name is Helen' the girl answered ' yes but you are in fact human.' The faun questioned. ' Yes of course' the girl replied
Once she finished talking I stepped out from behind the trees. ' What are you doing here.' I said gently, looking at the girl. I seemed to scare Mr. Tumnus as he jumped when I spoke. ' Well, I was hiding in the wardrobe in the spare room.' The girl said looking at me. ' Spare oom is that in Narnia.' The faun replied looking at me confused ' Narnia what's that?' She said intrigued. ' Um you are in it, everything from the lampost to castle Cair Paravel on the eastern ocean every stick and icicle is Narnia.' As they were talking I tuned out, trying to think what to do. ' You should probably head inside, it's not safe to talk.' I said looking at the girl and the faun. ' Oh well, Lucy and I are off for tea you are welcome to join us.' Mr. Tumnus said smiling at me. I shook my head. 'I must get going, it was lovely meeting you.' I said to Lucy as I shook her hand. Nodding at the faun I turned around and walked away.
As soon as I was out of sight, I turned into my lion self and ran to the stone table. My father being Aslan has its perks. I am able to transform into a lion at will which is something only I can do as the firstborn. I can also control the elements, but I rarely use my gift as I have no need too. My father must know of the new human in Narnia, so I did the only thing I knew would get his attention. I stood at the top of the hill and roared, the whole of the trees surrounding me began to shake. That is how I knew he had heard me.
A couple of days later
' Your highness, the witch was just spotted near the lamppost again.' A faun told me. I nodded in thanks. 'Prepare my horse I must ride there immediately.' He bowed and prepared my horse.
Quickly, I rode to the lamppost, the witch had already been here this week which meant something was wrong. I had to check on Mr. Tumnus as Lucy had been back I just hoped he hadn't been caught for I feared the witch would kill him. 'Quickly, Himea we must hurry.' I shouted to my speaking horse. ' Yes, your highness.' Her pace quickened as we neared the fauns' house. The snow looked to have been melting, strange I thought is the witch losing power. As Himea stopped I looked up from the floor, panicked quickly came over me as I saw that his door had come off his hinges. Jumping off my horse, I ran into his once beautiful home that know was destroyed. My eyes immediately spotted a piece of paper on the floor, I noticed the nail in the post that I assumed it had been attached too. Someone has been here I thought. I read the paper as tears flooded my eyes. ' Mr. Tumnus has been charged with treason.' How did she find out, it was only me and my father that knew of Lucy being in Narnia, how did the witch find out.
I climbed back onto Himea and rode back to my fathers camp, I must speak to him immediately. I had been riding for hours when we finally reached the frozen river, or what was meant to be frozen. How is this even possible, unless maybe the witch's power was finally weakening? Using my powers I instructed Himea to walk onto the water, as she did it turned to ice. We safely made it across and carried on riding. It was so much warmer, I took off my red cloak revealing my clothes. I wore a red dress with leather trousers underneath, my sword and dagger attached to the belt.
I decided to dismount and walk some of the way, it was beautiful. Narnia was finally back to how it was before the witch. The flowers and trees finally blossomed, the air was cool and refreshing. I couldn't help but smile as the trees danced in the wind. Things were finally getting back to normal. I mounted Himea as we grew closer to my father's camp when I heard the horn. But I was too far away for them to know that I was back so who was there.
