Lilly POV

I was woken up by the bird's beautiful song, my mind drifted to the night before, and how much time Peter and I spent together. I got up and saw that my father had already woken up. I normally sleep as a lioness, for some reason I have nightmares when I sleep as a human. But because of this, I had to share a tent with my father. I did not mind but considering he is high King and all he snores very loudly. Quickly I dressed into a blue corset top and my leather trousers. I attached my sword and dagger to my hip and walked out of the tent. As I did I heard Lucy ' Edmund.' she shouted as Peter held her back when she tried to run to him. He was stood with my father on the hill, I could tell they were having a private conversation so I waited for them to finish.

Suddenly mine and Peter's eyes met and I couldn't help but blush thinking back to last night. He seemed to be thinking the same thing because he touched his cheek where I kissed it last night. But his attention went to Edmund who stood in front of them with my father. I couldn't hear what he said so I walked over to them. My father walked away towards me ' Good morning dear one.' He said to me I stroked his mane and smiled as I walked towards the Pevensies. Edmund stopped to look at me 'I'm Lilly.' I said ' yes I know Peter told me about you.' I blushed as Edmund said this and noticed that Peter did too. But my eyes drifted to Edmund's wounds and bruises, so I hugged him and surprisingly he hugged back. ' You should get some rest.' I said. He nodded in agreement and walked towards his tent when Peter said ' And Ed, try not to wonder off.' I smirked at his joke.

Peter looked up and noticed me smiling, I curtsied and walked off to find my father.  As I walked I noticed him stood at the top of hill. I stood next to him in complete silence until I finally spoke. 'You know the witch will come for him. He is technically a traitor.' I said keeping my eyes on the horizon. 'Yes she may but it will all be ok. Why don't you go and join them for breakfast I must speak with Orius.' My father replied. Bending down I hugged him and stroked his fur before turning to go and find Peter and his siblings.

They were all sat around a table eating toast and laughing. 'Narnia not going to run out of toast Ed.' Lucy said laughing. He smiled at his younger sister. 'I'm sure they'll pack you some up for when you leave' Peter said to his siblings. By know, I had joined them at the table. 'We're leaving ?' Susan asked. I looked at Peter upset at the thought of them leaving. 'You three are I promised mum I would keep you three safe that doesn't mean I can't help.' Peter told them. 'We can't Narnia needs all four of us.' Lucy exclaimed. Peter shook his head 'you nearly drowned and Ed was nearly killed it's not safe.' Peter told his younger sister. After this, I stopped listening because I was trying to think of something to say but it is none of my business if they stay. But suddenly Susan and Lucy got up and left to practice.

'Come on then you two. Your gonna actually need to learn how to use those.' I said pointing to Peter's sword. They got up and followed me to the training field were Orius was waiting. I left them to learn so that I could find my father. When I couldn't find him I presumed he didn't want to be found. I sat and waited in the tent, I transformed into a lion and lied down on the floor. Suddenly the tent opened, it was my father. 'Get up my child the witch is here. Stay in this form it will be safer.' I nodded, I was so nervous the Pevensies haven't seen me in this form what if they don't like It. What if he doesn't like it.

As I was about to leave I could hear shouting, the tent opened as I walked out. The first thing I noticed was Jadis being carried by cyclops, her little dwarf shouting ' The queen of Narnia and Empress of the lone islands.' The witch sat looking down at my father. She was a very beautiful woman, pale icy skin, and a white fur dress. But I noticed that her ice crown was melting, I couldn't help but smile. The cyclops lowered the chair and she stood up walking towards my father. Her eyes met Edmunds and I could see the guilt in his eyes the poor boy. The witch stopped in front of my father. 'You have a traitor in your midst Aslan.' The witch proclaimed. I watched as Edmund lowered his head as the Narnians all gasped. 'His offence was not against you.' my father said softly. Which surprised me even though all the wrong she has done he still is kind towards her. ' Have you forgotten the laws on which Narnia was built?' The witch stated. I could now see the anger in my father's eyes he growled 'Do not cite the deep magic to me witch, I was there when it was written.' he shot back. ' Then you'll remember well that every traitor belongs to me, his blood is my property.' She said, then Peter pulled out his sword which shocked me. 'Try and take him then' he pointed his sword at the witch. Out of instinct I shot up and put myself in between the four siblings and the witch snarling and making sure to show my teeth. Her eyes went from me to Peter.' Do you really think that mere force will deny me my right, little king?' She said in a patronizing tone. Peter looked down, my eyes met him and I nudged against him trying to be of some comfort when the witch continued. ' Aslan knows that unless I have blood like the law demands all of Narnia will be overturned in fire and water. That boy will die on the stone table as is tradition. You dare not refuse me.' I walked towards my father's side waiting for his response. 'Enough, I shall talk with you alone.' He said leading the witch into our tent. ' She will come too.' the witch pointed at me. I met my father's eyes as he nodded, quickly I turned back to look at Edmund. To whom I gave a reassuring nod as I followed behind.

A few minutes later

Third-person POV

The four siblings, as well as the rest of the Narnians, were sat on the grass waiting. Edmund couldn't sit still he was so worried that he may die. When suddenly the witch came out of the tent. Slowly behind followed Aslan with Lilly at his side both the lions looked up at the four siblings. 'She has renounced her claim on the son of Adams blood.' Aslan said the Narnians all started cheering the four siblings all hugged. 'How do I know your promise will be kept.' The witch demanded. Almost simultaneously Aslan roared in her face causing her to fall to her chair. The witch and her men turned and walked away. All the Narnians started to cheer as Lucy hugged Edmund who spun her. But Lilly couldn't cheer knowing what was going to happen. Aslan lowered his head but his eyes met Lucy's. Her smile dropped as she saw the pain in the two lions' eyes. Aslan walked away, but Lilly stayed still. Her eyes were fixed on Peter looked so happy. His eyes met hers and he smiled at her, nut his smile dropped as he saw her looking so sad.

Then Lilly walked back into her tent, she changed back into her human form putting on a green corset top and leather trousers. Her sword and dagger on her hip, she put on her cloak and left the tent. But Peter was stood outside waiting for her. ' What's wrong?' Peter askes her seeing the tears going down her face. Lilly looked up into his eyes, she wanted so badly to tell him but she couldn't. She had to let her father do it, she had to let him die it was the only way. 'Nothing Peter, I just need to be alone I will be back later.' She said and walked towards Himea. Lilly mounted her horse and galloped away.
