Lillys POV

Himea galloped very quickly, I had to get out of there I needed space. I understood that my father knew what he was doing, but it still hurt. He didn't even get to say goodbye to my mother or sisters, they will never know. I had been riding for hours when I decided to go back, to face him. As I arrived back at camp, Peter stood there waiting for me. I got of Himea and stepped in front of him and smiled. He didn't say anything he just pulled me into a hug, I thought it would be awkward but it wasn't. I loosened up and wrapped my arms around his neck as his head rested on my shoulder. We had only known each other for a few days but I felt like I had known him all my life. Peter pulled away and looked me in the eyes. 'Come with me.' He said taking my hand. He pulled me towards the cliff and we sat down are feet hanging off the edge, you could just see the castle as the sun was setting.

'Thank you.' Peter said to me. I looked at him confused. 'What are you thanking me for.' I asked smiling at him. ' Ever since my siblings and I arrived here you have done nothing other than protecting us, at the creek with the wolves you jumped in front of my sisters. When the witch came you stood in between us and her. And you saved Edmunds life. So I thought I should say thank you.' I was shocked by his revelation. I didn't realize I had done all those things. But I know now that I would risk my life for them. ' You know I have been here for nearly a week and you haven't told me how old you are?' Peter asked me as he looked into my eyes. ' Technically I am 216, but my body is 16. I very rarely age.' I said smiling at him back. Truth be told I didn't know how I aged.  My theory is that my father chooses when I can and when I can't.

The sun started to go down so we decided to go to bed. I was so grateful because being with Peter distracted me from my father's fate. I walked him to his and Edmund's tent, before he walked in he turned around to me. 'Goodnight Lilly.' I smiled at him. But before I could do anything I had the sudden urge to kiss him. But then I remembered that we had only just met each other so I kissed him on the cheek. I waited and watched him walk into his tent before making my way back to mine. As I walked into my tent with a smile on my face I saw my father stood up waiting for me. Immediately my smile dropped from my face and my eyes filled with tears. He looked me in the eyes and sighed. ' I am sorry dear one it just has to be this way.' He said I tried to talk but there was a lump in my throat so I just nodded in agreement. I knew he was right but it didn't make it any less painful.  ' I will be ok, just remember the laws of the stone table Lilly and you will find peace. I must leave know.' He went to walk out but I stopped him ' I love you father.' I said before engulfing him into a hug.  When I let go he smiled and walked out not before saying ' i love you too my child.'

After he left, I cried for hours. But my mind couldn't let go of what he said. 'Laws of the stone table.' So I grabbed one of my books and started reading. I gasped in shock. He would be ok. I would see him again, that night I fell asleep in my human form without any nightmares. I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
