Lillys POV

I was woken from my sleep by a dryad. 'Your highness we bring grave news about your father.'

A few hours later

Peter and Edmund walked up to my tent just as I was walking out. Straight away Peter walked up to me and hugged me very tightly. ' He has gone' I said looking back at my tent. 'Then it is up to you know Peter' Edmund said looking at Peter. 'Me surely it should be you.' Peter said looking at me I shook my head in disagreement. ' No it was never my job to lead these people, I was just here to help.' I said smiling at him.  The four of us stood and discussed strategies, we had a plan that we hoped would work.  I put on my armour and attached my sword and dagger to my hip, once I was ready I went to see Peter who was in his tent struggling to put on his armour. 'Here let me help.' I said walking over to him. I put my hand on his shoulder which caused him to ease up. ' Thank you.' I smiled at him as I did up his armour. He turned around to face me, our eyes met, there it was again. The urge to kiss him, we both leant in. But then we were interrupted ' Pete we are saddling up. Oh sorry was I interrupting.' Edmund said looking at us as we quickly pulled away. I smiled and shook my head we both followed him out of the tent. I walked over to Himea. 'You ready girl.' I said patting her side she neighed at me ' Ready as I will ever be your highness.' I mounted her and rode up next to Peter and Orius.

We rode to Beruna in complete silence, all too nervous for the battle. Edmund and the archers stood at the top of the hill the rest of us on the field.  'Peter' I said looking at him. He turned to look at me ' Be careful' I said reaching and squeezing his hand. Peter smiled at me and turned to look at Orius 'are you with me.' he asked us both ' To the end' Orius replied ' Always' I said. A gryphon flew and landed next to me 'They come in numbers far larger then outs my liege.' He said. I nodded looking at Peter looked nervous. Suddenly, we saw them from the other side of the field, thousands of Narnians came tumbling up the field. Then I saw her, the witch, the woman that killed my father. Peter pulled out his sword and raised it in the air, all the Narnians cheered as the witch's army ran towards us. Peter waited whilst they ran, then he swung his sword signalling a flock of gryphons to fly. They flew above our heads and started dropping boulders on her armies heads. Once they retreated I looked at Peter and gave him a reassuring smile as he shouted.

 ' For Narnia and Aslan.'

I kicked Himea's side and she galloped on, me Peter and Orius were riding side by side swords drawn. As we got closer the fauns lowered their spears until eventually, we collided with the other army. I was attacked left right and centre, but I held my own. Stabbing centaurs and dwarves as they came for me. I tried to keep by Peter's side but it was impossible, we ended up getting separated but I tried not to think about it. The battle was in our favour as we struck down most of the witch's army but then she sent in the rest. When suddenly a phoenix appeared and set fire to the battlefield blocking the witch and keeping her away. I let out a sigh of relief as Peter's eyes met mine but our eye contact was broken by the witch braking the fire line and walking straight through. I looked at Peter worried ' Fall back draw them to the rocks.' he shouted so Himea jolted forwards and galloped towards the rocks.

Worry came over me, so I turned around to see that Peter's unicorn had been shot. I jumped off of Himea ' Quick get to safety girl.' I said she nodded and rode off. As I turned back around I saw Orius and a rhino run straight past Peter and towards her. 'No wait' Peter shouted, but they didn't listen. The rhino got far but then his legs were cut and he fell, my eyes stayed on Orius my fathers most trusted friend as he battled centaurs until he got to the witch who stabbed him with her ice wand and he turned to stone. 'Orius.' I screamed. Peter turned around and saw me, quickly I ran to his side as we ran into them and started to fight.  I ran ahead of Peter and saved a couple of Narnians when I heard Peter shout ' Ed get out of here, get the girls and go.' I watched as Mr Beaver and Edmund ran up the hill. I carried on fighting when I realize that the witch was heading for Peter quickly I ran after her. But so did Edmund, he jumped down she went to strike him but she missed so Edmund broke her ice wand. Like it was an instinct I pushed Edmund out of the way as she launched forward, stabbing me in the stomach.  Then I felt pain in my stomach, as I collapsed to the floor. With Edmund knocked out next to me I must have pushed him into a rock. ' LILLY' I heard Peter shout. The battle was happening around me as I laid there feeling useless. Slowly I felt the life in me slip away, my eyes started to close. When I was woken by a roar. My father, he was alive I smiled feeling like I could leave knowing that all was ok. I looked to the side of me to check on Edmund. He was still breathing so still alive. Then it all went black.

Third Person POV

Aslan got up from the witch and looked at Peter, 'It is over' he said walking up. 'Peter' Susan and Lucy shouted. They stopped running and Susan looked around ' Wheres Edmund?' Suddenly Peter remembered what happened. ' Wheres Lilly' Lucy asked. Peter looked at his sisters full of worry, he ran towards Edmund who had just started to come round.  ' Are you ok' Susan asked. He nodded  'Yes I'm ok I just hit my head, Lilly she saved me.'  Peter looked around trying to find her when Susan shot an arrow at a dwarf who was making his way to a girl pointing his bow at her. The four siblings ran to her on the floor, her eyes were closed her clothes covered in blood. Tears came to Peter's eyes as he knelt down and put her head in his lap. 'Lilly oh my god.' Susan said as she, Lucy and Edmund sat next to her body. Lucy started to unscrew her elixir but Susan stopped her ' Shes already gone Lu.' she said tears in her eyes. The four siblings sat and cried mourning the loss of their friend. ' Peter come on we need to go and help others.' Edmund said. He shook his head ' you go I'll stay with her.'  His siblings left whilst he sat holding Lilly in his arms. He felt someone else's presence, he looked up and saw Aslan looking at his daughter in Peter's arms.  'Step back' He said to Peter who hesitated but gave in, gently placing her head on the grass he watched as water started to make its way up her left arm, fire engulfed her right arm, grass grew up her left leg and air up her right. Peter looked in amazement, wondering what was happening. All of a sudden a blinding light engulfed her body causing Peter to look away, and when he turned back she was gone.  'What happened?' Peter asked in pure shock and grief. 'Where is she?' Aslan looked at the boy and could see how much he cared for his daughter and it warmed his heart.

'Why don't you turn around and find out.' Lilly said. Peter turned around so quickly he nearly fell over. Lilly laughed at him as he engulfed her in a massive hug, he held her never wanting to let go. ' Um hey Pete this is nice but I can't breathe.' Lilly said gasping for air. As he let go there eyes met but her gaze suddenly fell onto her father. Lilly looked at her father and ran up to him and hugged him. ' Hello, dear one.' Aslan said as his daughter clung to him. 'Come we have many things to do.' He said looking at her. ' You go ahead I just want to talk to Peter. ' he nodded and walked away. Lilly turned to face Peter and walked up to him and embraced him in another hug.  She let go but didn't pull away, their faces were so close as they looked into each other's eyes. Until Lilly leaned in and kissed him, shocked at first Peter gasped but then he kissed her back. His hands went around her waist as hers went up to his neck as they pulled each other closer. Eventually, Lilly pulled away looking into Peter's eyes she blushed. 'Come one we need to catch up with the others.'
