Suddenly the brunette's eyes fell on the guy she met earlier outside of the pandemonium, "You"

He narrowed his eyes at her, "Why are there mundanes in the institute?" He asked pointing the question at Jace and Isabelle.

As Sophia was about to say something Jace beat her to it, "A Circle member followed them to get to Clary."

"A Circle rune, just like the guys that took my mother." Clary added.

"What exactly is a Circle member and why are they trying to kill us?" Simon asked

"All we know is... a long time ago the Circle led a revolt. A lot of Shadowhunters got killed... including my father." Jace explained as he stared at the redhead who had a sympathetic look on het face

"And since the revolt we've been forbidden to even hear about the Circle." The tall black haired guy added

"But, how's that even possible? It's your history." The redhead asked raising her eyebrows as her friends stood watching the whole interaction eager to learn more.

Jace scoffed, "Says the girl who didn't know she was a Shadowhunter?"

Clary nodded clearly getting agitated at not having answers, "Yeah. Yeah, you're right. And now the only person who knows the truth is missing, so I don't care about your rules or what's forbidden, I'm... There's gotta be someone out there who can tell us why they've taken my mother."

Jace ushered with his head, "There is. You coming?"

As Clary nodded going to follow Jace, Simon was going after them while Sophia stood crossing her arms in front of her chest staring at the guy with black hair, "I'm Sophia by the way if you were wondering"

"Alec and I wasn't wondering" He said staring at the brunette who clenched her jaw, "You know what I wonder? Who shoved a stick far up your a---" The brunette was saying when a girl interrupted her with a smile on her face.

"I'm Isabelle Lightwood, don't mind my older brother's manners"

"Or lack of" Sophia said narrowing her eyes at Alec, "You know what they say heavy is the head that wears the crown" Isabelle said grinning.

Isabelle took Sophia to her room to get to know each other while Clary went to know more about her history, "So runes huh?"

"Yeah, They give Shadowhunters our demon-fighting powers." Izzy explained.

"I think it's cool, so what happens when what you people call a mundane get runed?" Sophia asked interested in what Isabelle had to say

"They usually die. Sometimes they go crazy. When that happens, we call them the Forsaken. Then we kill them."

"So... Alec. Does he have a---?" Sophia wandered staring at Isabelle when she cut her off, "A partner?" Izzy completed with a smirk.

The brunette raised her eyebrows, "I was going to say a lot of responsibilities"
