Entry 05

I woke up with a grumbling stomach. I looked at my wrist watch and saw that it is already 5 in the afternoon. Mamaya na pala ako susunduin ni Kuya. Marcus and I ate lunch together but that was hours ago.

Due to hunger I smelled something yummy. Ugh, the things I smelled pag gutom ako.

I got out of bed and fixed myself. I'm just gonna buy something that I can eat nalang. I was about to go out when I heard noises from the kitchen

I came nearer and found Nehemiah cooking there. So he didn't left, huh? He must've notice my precense that's why he looked onto my direction and smiled.

No, I'm not marupokpok so I maintained my stoic face. Letting him know that I wouldn't let what happened earlier pass.

"Gipahimutang ko ang lamesa." He said which I did not understand but I saw him setting the table.

I sat down quietly. I don't have the guts to reject the food he cooked because I'm too hungry. He must've notice that I am not in the mood, and unsually quiet so he tried to light up the mood.

"Nakakaon na kana ba?" He asked but I didn't understand so I kept quiet, he sighed.

"Kaon na." He said and placed a fried chicken with a soup infront of me, I ate quietly.

"Tinirhan ka namin kanina. Akala ko kasi di kapa nakakakain saka nawala ka lang. Sinubukan kitang hanapin pero di kita mahanap, tapos nasabi rin sakin ni Emiel na nakita kanyang kasama si Marcus kaya nagpasya nalang akong hintayin ka." He said, "Hindi ko alam kung bakit ka sumama sa kanya, huli na ng nalaman ko kaya tinirhan nalang kita ng ulam pero kumain na pala kayo, kaya ininit ko nalang baka sakaling gutumin ka." He said again but I chose to keep quiet.

I want him to know and feel how much I hate liars. I just can't tolerate that kind of behaviour. He could've told me, instead of lying.

"May problema ba, Asia?" He asked when he got full of my silence. Didn't he heard me earlier?! He lied! He even told me na wala na ako doon kung bakit niya kasama si Mona! So ano? Maglolokohan nalang kami sa loob ng isang buwan? Ganon?

I saw him clenched his jaw when I still didn't answered him.

"Pwede bang sagutin mo naman ako?" He said trying to calm himself. I rested my back on the back chair and stared at him for a minute. He must've notice how intense and serious my looks are kaya he gulped.

"Why did you lied?" I asked which caughed him off guard. "I hate liars." I added.

"Ano ba sayo kung nagsinungaling ako? Buhay ko naman to?" He said looking pissed. I scoffed.

"So that's it? Walang pakielaman?" I saw slightly horror in his eyes but it must be hunger since I haven't finished eating my food yet. "Okay fine! Simula ngayon, wala nang pakielaman! You'll report to my Dad the things that I do here, but that doesn't give you the permission to enter my private life. I won't disturb yours too, don't worry." I said and walked away, but he held my wrist.

"Asan ang pulseras na bigay ko?" He asked when he noticed that I am wearing a diffirent kind of bracelet. I wore the one Marcus bought me, a blue one. It suits my skin, I must say that, though the pink one suits more.

"Wala kana don." I said mimicking what he said earlier. I tried to pull my wrist but he just held at it, tighter.

"Ano ba, Nehemiah! Masakit! Aw!" I said, slowly he let my hand go.

"Pasyensya na... Gusto ko lang malaman kung saan galing yang pulseras mong bago, at nasaaan na yong.. ibinigay ko." He said while head down.

I sighed and picked the pink bracelet he bought me out of my pocket and handed it to him. He looked surprised by my action that's why he got speechless.
