Their jaw went dropped by what I've said. I just introduced myself indirectly, alright.
"Anong pangalan mo?" I was taken aback with Marcus' question, he really looked familiar. I swallowed before I answered him.
"Asia."
We were disturbed when someone dropped the boxes forcefully. When I looked who it was, I saw Nehemiah who's almost glaring at the fishes while jaw is clenched. What is his problem?
"Ayos kalang ba pre?" Emiel asked Nehemiah who seemed piss. Whoever, he only answered with a nod.
I stared at him, wondering what is his problem that's why I didn't noticed that Marcus is already infront of me.
"Subukan mong magtagalog. In that way, people won't think of you as a newbie and maarte." He said, I was shocked when he said that english sentence so well. I knew it! That's why he looked familiar. He's one of my classmates' brother pala.
"Why are you here?" I asked him. Because as far as I remember I came from a private school and all of my classmates are wealthy.
"None of your business." He said and helped Emiel get the fishes. I continued staring at him. How dare he? Did he jist answered me savagely?! Seriously?! I was caught off guard when I smelled something good. That normal scent of a certain person who doesn't even use a perfume but still smells so good.
I looked in front of me only to see Nehemiah's serious face. I unconciously smiled while looking at him which made her brows furrowed. He cleared his throat.
"Nasabi na saakin ni Mr. Torrefranco na dito ka mananatili sa loob ng isang buwan. Sandali lang muna maam at tatapusin ko ang aking gawain." He said seriously and walked away back to his mates. Did he just called me maam again?! Strike two na siya ah!
While they were arranging the fish and selling it to their valid customers, I sat on the bench near the boardwalk and looked at them. At the moment, I thought about what Marcus said. I should speak tagalog more often, really. But the problem is, I don't know to speak other tagalog words fluently. I also don't understand some of them.
I know I should because I have a filipino blood but I can't help it... I learned tagalog before because Mom was a pure filipino and Dad is half. But after Mom's death, Dad didn't bother to teach us some tagalog words, kaya minsan lang kami nagsasalita ng ganon.
I was even fortunate enough because I know how to speak tagalog a bit. Pia doesn't know kasi, she also can't understand tagalog words. Kuya on the otherside, I don't know really. He's not open about his life. He's just sweet, caring and present whenever we need him.
"Tapos na kami." My brow shot up when I heard Nehemiah's voice, didn't actually noticed his precense because of thinking too deeply.
"Ow." That's what all I can say.
"Nem, hanap ka ni Mona." Emiel approached us before I can even stand up. My brows furrowed when I heared that name. Mona, huh? I caught Nehemiah looking at his back and I saw a girl there. I squinted my eyes to see the girl clearly.
Obviously, she's not the stupid banshee yesterday. Who could she be? I was a bit pissed when Nehemiah excused himself just to go at the girl. Aba, mapapel.
I stared at the girl and saw that she has a fair complexion, a long soft hair, and duh not pretty as me. I'm pretty sure that I am prettier because my skin is creamy as a white milk, my hair is straight upto my shoulders and curly at the bottom, all in all, it reaches my back. I arched an eyebrow while looking at them.
Nehemiah is obviously cheking the girl because he's holding her elbow. I don't know why but I got pissed which caused me to grit my teeth. When I tore my eyes off them I saw Emiel who's looking at me intently.
