Run

I don't know what this guy has up his sleeve, my instincts are telling me to run. So for once, I listen. RUN!

I push him hard and go as fast as I can in one direction. He laughs, and starts running at me with a hungry, menacing look. I run into some woods. He's catching up, I start to run in different directions to try and lose him. I run so fast I'm already breathing hard, my legs burn and scream for me to rest, but I can't. My life is in the line right now, I have to keep going. I twist and turn through the trees, the gaps between them getting thinner as I go on. He's far enough behind me now, If I'm fast enough I can try to climb up a tree and lose him completely.

Climb, climb, climb! I'm almost there! I hear him getting closer! The twigs and leaves beneath his boots being crushed to bits.

"HUUMAAN~!" He calls. Does he really think I'm going to come to him if just yells for me? Wow.

I'm far enough up the tree. He shouldn't be able to find me as long as he doesn't look up. I stay still and as silent as possible as to not lure him over. Everything is quiet I hope he can't hear my breathing and heart beating rapidly out my chest from running.

A few seconds pass before he looks like he's about to leave. I wait for a minute to make sure he actually does. Then, I climb down and continue the way I was going. There are no paths so I just head straight.

I kept going and going, this is the longest walk of my life. Or I just need to exercise more.

I walked for 30 more minutes before I finally reached a path..or 3 paths. And a sign post. On it, 3 signs pointing in the 3 directions.
I take a moment to check it out when someone starts to appear in front of my eyes. He has blonde hair, pretty green eyes, and a pair of black, green, and grey striped cat ears and tail. He's so close, our noses touch. He has a mischievous sly grin on his face as he says, "Hello."

I scoot back a little, taken aback of how close he was and said hello back to him.

"Going somewhere?" He asks his smile never leaving his face.

I say yes and ask where the paths lead, "Well, where do you want to go?" He asked back.

"I don't know," I really don't care, I just need to go somewhere.

"How can one not know where they want to go? It doesn't make sense for one to simply wander and have no place to be," He furrows his eyebrows. He sure does ask a lot of questions.

I try to ask again, "I just don't know, I haven't decided. Can you please tell me where each path leads? That could help me figure out where I want to go."

He looks at me, curiosity and amusement in his eyes, "Very well. The West leads to the village where the people stay, the East, to an everlasting party with a beautiful hatter and his succubi."

"What about the middle path?" He must've left that out on purpose because he looks frustrated that I asked.

He sighs disappointingly, "That way leads to the castle grounds where the wealthy and the ruler lives. I wouldn't recommend going there, the King feasts on your kind and will do anything to get what he wants and feel powerful."

Where should I go?
