Today in gym class we were playing volleyball and although it wasn't my favourite sport, I still enjoyed playing it. I had taken a spot near the front of the net while Bella had opted for a place in the rear.

I was getting a few good hits in but Bella was avoiding the ball at all costs and whenever it came near her, she swatted it away from as if it was carrying some sort of deadly disease. Some days I don't even know how I'm related to her.

Midway through the game, Bella had hit the ball at the back of a boy's head and she went over to him, making me follow her as I had some sort of motherly instinct that made me worry about everyone. Honestly, it was a pain sometimes.

When I had joined them after jogging lightly from my spot on the court, my cousin had been apologizing about the accident, even though her apology was still a bit awkward like most things she does.

"I'm sorry, I told them not to let me play." She told him. The guy smiled at her as he waved off the apology. I crossed my arms over my chest as I narrowed my eyes ever so slightly at the boy as he stared at Bella, a little too much for my liking.

"You're Isabella, Right?" He stated, most likely hearing the gossip much like the Asian dude from earlier, I had already forgotten his name. He glanced at me and his mouth was gapped a bit. "And Stellamaris?"

I kept my eyes narrowed but responded, not wanting to hurt his feelings. "It's Stella." He nodded his head and turned his attention back to Bella. "Just Bella." She corrected him.

"Yeah, hey! I'm Mike Newton." He informed us, shaking both of our hands, mine still kinda tucked into my chest with my other arm. "It's nice to meet you." I replied.

Suddenly, a girl with hair almost the same colour as mine joined us on the side of the court. "She's got a great spike, huh?" She said, with a bit of a jealous smile, to Mike. She then turned to the both of us. "I'm Jessica, by the way. Hey, you two are from Arizona, right?"

I shook my head but Bella nodded and we replied at the same time. "Not really/Yeah." We glanced at each other before looking back the two who were looking between us. "Aren't you two twins?" Asked Jessica.

"No we're cousins." I told her. It wasn't uncommon for people to assume that we were sisters, we looked very similar as she had gotten her looks from her dad just like I got mine from my father.

"Aren't people from Arizona supposed to be like, really tan?" She questioned, gesturing to Bella's semi pale skin and my extremely pale snow white skin.

I rolled my eyes, annoyed by her jealousy but didn't open my mouth. Bella looked down at the ground and replied awkwardly. "Yeah, maybe that's why they kicked us out".

Mike laughed at the joke as did Jessica but hers was obviously forced unlike the boy's. "That's so funny." She stated, her jealousy seeping through her barely clenched teeth.

I rolled my eyes once more before uncrossing my arms and rejoining my team on the court.

After our shared gym class, Bella and I were forced to part ways as we made our ways to our separate classes. She had to get to math while I was on my way to American History class.

However, I bumped into someone as I was making my way into the classroom. I was to only one to fall down and I let out an 'oof' when I landed on the floor. "I'm so sorry, here let me help you." They apologized.
