THE STEADY BEAT OF HIS heart is all that helps me to drift into deep slumber.

The rain outside had subsided, which meant, that the storm was nowhere to be found. Even if that it is a relief, at the same time, I don't want Kyle to leave me, it just all felt right, so very right. I lay at the top of his chest, his warmth engulfing me. He fell asleep while talking to me, telling me about his dream job, which included him becoming a gamer.

And I noticed how really he wanted to become one, I have never seen him play but I know he would be good at it, he is good at everything. How can a girl ever cheat over him? He doesn't seems like a person who can even break someone's heart. With his chest heaving up and down, there is a bit of drool rolling down from the corner of his mouth.

I stare at him, unbothered by the time that passes by. His hands are tangled around my waist. Kyle's lips are parted, he is snoring ever so softly, it's like lullaby to my ears. Brittney would be squeaking out loudly if she sees this, sees us together. How two days were able to make us this close was beyond me. He shifts in his position, facing me.

I run my fingers from the top of his head to down to his lips, Kyle murmurs something in his sleep but I don't catch it, he drifts off to the slumber soon. Did he have a hard time when Sydney broke up with him? Ofcourse he did. A voice inside me mocked.

"Staring is not good, princess" Kyle mutters every so softly and I giggle. He hums in delight when he nuzzles his nose into my neck. His hands encircling my waist, damn, I was falling, and very hardly.

"I was looking at your drool, which is gross by the way" I don't mean it, instead, I somehow find it cute. He slept like a baby. Kyle hears me say and immediately touches his chin to find the drool that has dropped off. He stares at me with wide eyes, embarassment flashing through his face.

"I didn't—"

"Hey, chill. It's alright, it's natural" His face flushes with embarassment and he run his fingers through his hair. Kyle looks cute, and honestly, I don't mind having him by side every other night.

"Have I ever told you how good you smell?" Kyle mutters to me in a low tone and continues to tease me by nuzzling his nose into my neck. It's insane how two people get so comfortable with each other in just two day, were we normal? But I had a crush on him from a long time and he did too, so I guess, it wasn't much shocker, was it?

I shake my head to throw out irrelevant thoughts out of my head. Kyle places a kiss on my neck before withdrawing himself away from me. "I should go, I think" I watch him with sadness in my eyes, I don't want him to leave me. Kyle sighs, tugging a hair strand behind my ears.

"As much as I want to stay, I got things to do and places to be" Kyle gives me a small pout and I have an urge to kiss his lips at that sight. He gets up, sitting with his head directed at me. I am about to say something but he beats it up to me.

"Come on, I will make you something before I head out" Kyle says, using his elbows as support to get up but I stay there, gazing at him. He pinched my nose, dropping a small kiss on my forehead before running downstairs. Leaving me with bewildered thoughts.

Lazily, I pick up myself off the bed and drag myself down too, with my fingers running along the length of my disheveled hair. Earlier, mom had called me to check on me, they were getting the earliest flight to California and coming here soon. I smell the hot aroma of pancakes he was banking.

But the pancakes didn't feel delicious than Kyle, nothing could ever be sweeter than Kyle.

"Come sit down, let me serve you" He says, grabbing the plate from the drawer, how did he memorize everything in only one night? Indeed, he was smart, way too intelligent.  Within seconds, two pancakes were staked on each other with maple syrup dripping down from the sides. He sat in front of me on the chair, rubbing his hands together, lord, he looked so gorgeous.

"Hey, Heaven, if you're done staring, do tell me how good it tastes" Kyle smirks widely, propping his hands on the table with hint of mischievous in his eyes. I picked up the fork with a smile on my face. The first bite of the pancake was enough for me to moan out loudly. Why did it had to be so good and finger licking?

"It's delicious. I might hire you as my personal chief" I exclaimed with my mouth stuffed with two bites of pancakes. Kyle chuckled, shaking his head at me. "Personal chief or something more, Miss Knight?" He hinted, biting his lip down sensually. And I rolled my eyes, hiding the fact that I was enjoying his teasing.

"Where do we go from now?" There it was, I asked it out. Kyle's face dropped the smile he was wearing and a serious expression plastered on his face. This was it, I screwed it all up, didn't I? I had to ask him this when he just got out of a relationship. I cursed myself internally.

"Heaven, I don't know if you would like what I am going to suggest so if you don't like it, just let me know" I nodded my head discreetly at him. "Can we not label our relationship? I like you, you're amazing, gorgeous and smart but right now, I don't think I am wanting to be in a relationship, you know? Will you be okay with it? Until I am really ready to be with you officially?" Kyle asks me, and I lean against the chair, shrinking in my place.

Did I wanted him not to label our relationship? Could I wait until he was ready to be with me officially? Was it alright? I don't know, maybe, I didn't even wanted to know at this second, all I needed was to be with him, even if it wasn't anything serious, I liked Kyle and maybe waiting for him to be with me will be worth.

Kyle places his hand over mine, his finger drawing circles, it soothes me and calms me down. And at that moment, I knew that he was worth it, he was worth the wait and so I give him a short nod. I was just hoping that he doesn't ends up hurting me and himself in the process.
