Percy thought capture the flag was, interesting to say the least. Personally, Percy had never seen the Oracle before, mostly because he'd never seen anything before, but even he knew that it/she wasn't supposed to leave the Big House attic.
Anyway, the Oracle showed up in the middle of the woods and gave a prophecy. It went like this:
Five shall go west to the goddess in chains.
One shall be lost in the land without rain.
The state of Olympus shows the trail.
Campers, hunters and monsters prevail.
The titan's curse must one withstand.
And one shall perish by a parent's hand.
I know, freaky right. Chiron had immediately ordered a council meeting. At first, the campers seemed reluctant to let me in, but after Chiron told them I had to be there, they relented.
"There will be a quest." Chiron began after everyone had arrived. "A quest to rescue Lady Artemis and I think I know who needs to go. Well, two people anyway, Zoë Nightshade and Perseus."
A low growl sounded from each of their throats, "I have to go with the huntress/monster?!" They said.
Chiron and Zoë had a silent argument, and Chiron won. "Fine," said the huntress, "we'll just take three hunters and go."
"Not so fast Zoë," Thalia said, "the prophecy says you need campers the do this right."
"Fine, I'll take Thalia, Phoebe, Clarisse and the Dog." In an instant, Daybreaker was at the back of her throat.
"Watch it, Huntress, insult me however you want, but call me a dog again and we're going to have a problem." The blind boy growled. Everyone in the room stared at him in fear and slight admiration. No one saw him move, they could all swear that just a second ago they saw him on the other side of the room. But now he was behind Zoë, with a swordpoint at her spine.
"Is that a threat, Mutt?" Zoë asked angrily,
"Not a threat, a promise." He replied, putting his sword away.
"Enough!" Chiron thundered "if you want to save Lady Artemis you need to work together. Now if everyone agrees we may disperse," everyone nodded, "council adj-"
"Hold up Chiron," Percy interrupted, "the prophecy said Monsters. Plural. I need help."
'Yea man, he is right, you need more than one." Doogle said, though only Percy understood him.
"Do you know" Connor Stoll started
"Who can help" Travis continued
"You?" They finished at the same time.
Percy thought for a second, "you know," he stated, "I think I know just the guy."
So that's how Percy got to be riding in the back of a strange metal beast that the humans call a car, towards where he thought was San Francisco, then again he was blind and couldn't tell up from down, but he was fairly certain that he was going to San Francisco. Question was, why?
They eventually stopped in Washington, more specifically the Smithsonian air and space museum. Percy had stopped when they told him it was a museum. "Hey! Mutt, what's the holdup?" Phoebe asked.
Percy's expression was almost angry, "I've always hated museums."
Thalia was very much in agreement, though she had a feeling it was for a different reason than him. She thought the werewolf boy was a mystery, they had asked questions about each other during the ride here. And while Thalia and Percy had both given straight answers, Percy's explanations had only made more questions. "Let's just go," Percy said, eliminating any chance for questions.
Outside the doors Percy stopped again, he sniffed around and paled. "there's a titan in this building" and everyone joined him in being white as a sheet.
"Can you tell which one?" Clarisse asked, Percy shook his head.
"No dice, I don't recognize it." He said and walked inside. The girls looked at each other before following. But he had just, disappeared. The found him at the counter is a Starbucks with his back turned. When be turned around he was holding a tray of five coffees in one hand and a paper bag in the other. He sat down at an empty table and started to eat a blueberry muffin. The girls sat down with him. He didn't say anything, he just slid the tray of coffee and bag of muffins toward them.
"Thank you." Clarisse and Thalia said, who both looked appalled that they spoke at the same time. Phoebe and Zoë looked at him questionably, but he couldn't see that.
"Your welcome" he replied, he stood up threw out his garbage and started to walk away. "I'm going to try to find out who that Titan is." While that was true, it wasn't the only reason Percy left, Zoë could tell.
With Percy, the truth was that over the years he had gotten used to being alone that he felt weird talking to people, and he preferred being by himself.
He continued walking through the museum, following the smell of the titan as he went. The scent led him to a door, he shifted into his wolf form and walked through. Inside he sensed three people using echolocation and quickly hid behind a pillar.
"Where are the teeth mortal?" A loud voice boomed.
A quiet voice replied, "right here as ordered my lord," it was clear to Percy the whoever the small voice belonged to did not like calling his companion lord.
Percy turned to face the pillar so he could use his echolocation. It only worked directly in front of him. Using this ability he was able to tell that the loud voice belonged to the Titan he was looking for and that the smaller voice belonged to a demigod. So that's the traitorous son of Hermes that he'd heard so much about. Luke Castellan.
The Titan took something from Luke's hands and buried it in some dirt. Next, an empousa came forwards and poured blood over it. At first, Percy thought nothing was happening. But then, skeletal hands clawed at the ground, and twelve people climbed up.
The only way Percy was able to tell that they were there was because he smelled them. They didn't speak and didn't make enough sound for him to echolocate. He sensed them moving as they passed around what seemed like a cloth, each smelling. "Our spies stole this from the lieutenant of the hunters." Luke said, "everything is going according to plan General."
'The General! That's it!' Percy thought, desperately trying to remember who the General was. 'I know he's a Titan,' Percy thought, 'and he's a leader of some kind, Atlas. But that means...'
Not thinking about it anymore, Percy turned and dashed back to his companions, moving too fast to use echolocation. So he bumped into things occasionally.
The main reason for this, was because he had been feeling like something was watching him. It had been very distracting.
He was panting by the time he got back to his companions. "Spartus. Hunter uniform. Hunting us." He wheezed, trying to slow down his speeding heart.
"Whoa, dude slow down. Breathe. Now, tell us what happened, Slow this time." Percy took a deep breath.
"I walked into a room, and there were two people there. One was the Titan and the other was that traitorous son of Hermes you told me about. Luke right?" Thalia flinched, "thought so, anyway, Luke gave the Titan, or "the General" as Luke called him a dozen dragon teeth. The General took them and planted them before watering them with blood. Twelve Spartus came out of the ground and all of them smelt a piece of Zoë's huntress uniform. Now they're chasing us."
After his story, the girls, understandably, were very pale.
AN: I'm going to skip the rest of the quest. It goes the same as the books. Sorry if it seems lazy. It is.
As the group of four, Clarisse, Thalia, Annabeth and Percy walked into the throne room of Olympus the werewolf boy couldn't help but feel very nervous. Jupiter had after all ordered him to be killed on sight.
Annabeth, who, not knowing he was a werewolf, or blind, seemed to have taken a liking to the boy, noticed his nervousness. "What's wrong?"
"I'm gonna die here. Ju- Zeus has wanted my head since he knew I existed. Good job Percy! You didn't live past 14! Even if they do cast a vote, only Apollo, Hephaestus, and maybe Artemis will keep me alive."
"Well, we'll just have to find out." She said before grabbing Percy's wrist and following the others inside.
The four I only caught the last a conversation about what seemed to be what happened in the quest. "-I only escaped because of these four demigods."
Everyone turned to them, more specifically Percy, who is the only boy in the group drew their attention first. Some in different ways than others. *cough*Aphrodite*cough*.
Apollo and Hephaestus grinned in pride at him. Artemis looked at him silently saying 'thanks'. Athena and Ares sized him up. Dionysus recognized him as "the-kid-who-played-a-song-at-camp" but didn't say anything. Demeter smiled at him sensing his connection to nature. Hermes, Hades, Hera and Poseidon just stared at him not knowing what to make of him. Aphrodite was swooning.
"You!" Zeus thundered, "you are a monster." Percy flinched, Apollo glared at his father. "Normally I would kill a foul creature such as yourself, but you have saved my daughter this day. We will cast a vote. Who wants the boy dead?" Dionysus, Ares, Hera, Hermes, Athena and Zeus raised their hands. "Who votes for him to live?" Aphrodite, Apollo, Hephaestus, Hades, Demeter and Artemis raised their hands. Poseidon abstained, shocking Percy to the core.
"Hm, a tie. Normally Zeus would break the tie, but since Hades is here Zeus is allowed to vote as it wouldn't be right to cheat him out to his vote. He is king after all." Will Solace whispered to Nico. The two of them and a few other demigods were present to spectate the meeting.
"Who breaks the tie then?" Nico asked. And his friend pointed to the hearth."Hestia." Will replied.
Everyone looked toward the girl tending the flame in the middle of the room. "Let the boy live." Said the goddess, making Percy, Apollo, Hephaestus, the Apollo kids(they liked having a friend who could keep up with their musical talents) and Nico sigh in relief.
But that wasn't the only problem. Thalia turned 16 tomorrow. So she joined the hunters, leaving the great prophecy to none other than Nico di Angelo. This information caused the boy to pale.
"I will not have a Hades-spawn as the child of the prophecy!" Zeus boomed.
"Well, you're going to have to live with it." Poseidon rolled his eyes.
After the meeting, the gods hosted a party to celebrate the solstice. Not much happened except that Percy sung a song.
Time skip
'Great I lived, but what now' Percy thought as he walked through the woods at camp with Nico. He voiced his thoughts to his friend. "What do you mean?"
He'll admit, Nico was staring at his werewolf friend. But how couldn't he, Percy was like the most adorable yet dorkiest boy on the planet. And he had to say, he was hot. He was a few inches taller than Nico himself, and he was well built for his age. His untameable hair fell just over his sparkling silver unseeing eyes.
For a moment Percy thought about how to answer. "Well, my whole life I've been running. Running from my father, running from the hunters. But now that I'm at camp and the gods are off my back, for now, there's nothing to run from anymore."
"I might be able to help with that." A female voice said startling Percy who shifted to his wolf form on instinct. The lady laughed stepping out of the shadows. "Calm down, I am not here to harm you. My name is Hecate, and I need your help.
AN: yeah I think you know where this is going. Starting now, this fanfic is a Harry Potter/Percy Jackson crossover.
The only problem is that don't know what era to place it story in. In my eyes there are 3 eras to the HP universe. The era of the Marauders time at Hogwarts the era of the golden trio and the era of the cursed child.
The third era is a solid no. Because personally I thing the cursed child is a bunch of bullshit. But I don't know wether to do the first or second era.
Because I know more about the second but I also feel like Percy could connect with the Marauders much more than he could with the golden trio. More specifically, Remus John Lupin.
I'm leaning towards the first era. I don't know much about it. But I can study it, I have the next two weeks off of school. So that's what I'll do.
Anyways, I hope you liked chapter it's been slow writing but it's finally finished. Sorry it's a little bit on the shorter side.
Also how do you like the new cover?
