Dear Prongs
I know it's been a while since I've last written. Two weeks right, it's been pretty hectic around here.
My Hogwarts letter came and my dad has been trying to juggle shopping for me and work while mom stays home with me.
It's also not like it's been any better for me. Two weeks ago a boy named Percy Jackson showed up on our doorstep out of nowhere. He's nice, he just moved to London from America with his friend Nico, whom I've yet to meet. All I know about him is that he and Percy are coming to Hogwarts with us.
Percy said I can meet him after the full moon. So that we don't have to worry about it.
Percy is very bubbly and energetic while apparently Nico is more shy. But don't let that fool you. Their prank ideas could give us Marauders a run for our money.
That's not the only thing that has been keeping me busy. Percy is a werewolf, like me. Which is why he came to meet me. He said he could help me, and so far he's been right.
He's been trying to drill into my head that I shouldn't be treating my condition like a weakness, but a strength.
He can do so much cool stuff, he can shift on command and access his wolffish senses, whenever he wants even as a human. He is also blind, I guess I forgot to mention that.
Tonight is the full moon, so I guess it's time to see if all my hard work will pay off.
Anyways I hope to see you on the train to Hogwarts. Percy is extremely excited to meet you guys.
     -Sincerely your friend, Moony.

Percy came into Remus' room just as He was finished mailing his letter to his friend James. He turned to his newest friend, "what is it?"
"Moonrise is in an hour. We need to start getting ready. Have you taken wolfsbane?" Remus shook his head, "good, come on I found is a cool spot to start the shift."
As Percy lead Remus to his supposed "cool spot" he gave some last minute advice. "When we get there, ditch the shirt, shoes and socks. You're gonna grow through them anyways. Also what most people do during the shift is try to resist the pull and stay as a human. Don't. It's impossible. And don't worry if you can't do what I can yet, when you tear down the mental walls-which I'm pretty sure you did-the special abilities like increased senses as a human don't kick in until after a full moon. It's a trial by fire." Remus nodded, taking it all in.
What they reached the spot, Remus had to admit it would be a good place to shift. It was a small clearing about a kilometre and a half into the woods. Nice.
The two of them, as Percy had advised, removed their shirts, shoes, and socks. "Follow my lead" Percy orders as he sat down cross-legged in the middle of the clearing. "5 minutes," Percy said, "relax, close your eyes, if you know that it's coming you'll brace for it, and we don't want that. Chill." Remus did as instructed, knowing better than to argue with so little time left.
Time Skip
Remus woke up to someone shaking him. "Hey! Remus!"
"Percy? What happened?" Remus asked his fellow werewolf. Percy handed him a pair of pants which he put on.
"Well bro, the full moon happened. How do you feel?" The blind boy asked, knowing the answer.
"I feel... well, not tired like I usually do after full moon for one, and stronger, but more vulnerable. Why, is it a bad thing?"
Percy grinned "no, that's exactly how you're supposed to feel the first time. Now, time to see if our hard work payed off. Try shifting, it's like transfiguration. Imagine every aspect of your wolf form. Colour, size. Everything." Percy said before shifting into a beautiful pure white wolf.
Remus tried to do it, he closed his eyes and imagined a brown, dark eyed canine. Unbeknownst to him he was shrinking into the wolf that he had imagined."Remus, open your eyes." A voice said in his mind. When he did, he was surprised to find himself on even ground with Percy's wolf form.
Wolf Percy gave a wolffish grin. "Nice, you did it now try to imagine yourself as Remus again." Said Percy's voice in his mind.
Remus obeyed, this time with his eyes open. Suddenly he was Remus Lupin again. Soon human Remus and human Percy were grinning at each other. "WOOHOO!!" They cheered, before shifting and racing each other back to Lupin manor
Remus noticed that despite never doing it before, running into his wolf form came naturally to him. And he could hear everything. From woodpeckers to squirrels to even a geyser a few kilometres behind him. The sounds were planting an image in his brain so he knew what it looked like.
When they made it back to the house, the two shifted and looked at each other before bursting out laughing.
Lyall must have heard them because the front door opened and there he was. Standing in the doorframe with the confidence of an auror. "Did it work?"
Percy and Remus nodded. Remus had but two seconds before being tackled in a hug by his father. "Thank you." Lyall told Percy after letting his son go.
"No problem. And Mr. Lupin, it would have taken at least another decade he even started to notice the change. He would have been fine." He told the man, who sighed in relief. Taking both boys in a hug.
Then the two boys started walking down the road to introduce Remus to Nico as promised.
Once they got there, Percy led Remus up the steps, pulled out his key and felt around for the keyhole. Once Percy got the door open they walked inside. "Nico!" Percy called, "I'm back, and I brought Remus with me!"
Nico came out from the hall and was greeted by Percy with a bro hug, much to his annoyance.
Remus stared any the 14 year old olive skinned boy in front of him. Nico turned to Remus. "You must be Remus Lupin, I'm Nico di Angelo. But you knew that already." Nico said offering Remus one of his hands and using the other to run the back of his neck sheepishly.
Remus took the boys hand gratefully, "nice to meet you." He said
Nico nodded with a smile, "yeah nice to meet you too, Percy tells me that you were very exited to meet me." Remus blushed, Nico smirked.
Remus took the smirk as a challenge and said, "that's because he won't stop talking about you." Now it was Nico's turn to blush.
The whole time, Percy was just smiling. He knew they would get along. "I'll leave you two the get properly acquainted. If you'll excuse me, I need to go pack for Hogwarts" then he walked out and went towards what Nico assumed was his makeshift camp.
"So, Percy tells me that you went to Ilvermorny before moving here. That true?" The werewolf asked the son of Hades.
Nico shrugged, "yeah, I guess so, I was sorted into the wampus cat house, we favour the warriors." He said going with the cover story that Hecate gave them.
"Warriors huh? Does that mean you think you'll be in Gyffinndor?" Remus asked the demigod.
"While I do feel like the house of the lions would fit me the best, being a warrior doesn't exactly mean being brave. It could mean guts, or skill or even wisdom and intelligence."
The werewolf shrugged, "I guess you have a point, did you have many friends while you were there?"
"Not really, I was kind of the outcast there, the odd one out, but it's fine, I'm pretty introverted so I didn't really mind, and I've always had Percy to write to, even if they didn't let him in. Maybe the previous headmaster would have, but, not headmistress Barebone. What about you, you got any friends at Hogwarts?"
Remus grinned, "yeah, us Gryffindor boys kind of have our own friend group. First is Harry Potter-"
"The boy who lived, I've heard of him. Just because I'm American doesn't mean I live under a rock." Nico smirked devilishly.
Remus rolled his eyes, "I guess you've heard of him so you've probably heard of his twin brother James right?" Nico nodded, "then there's Peter Petigrew, he's small and kind of slow, but he's the peaceful one who keeps us all together. Next there's Sirius Black and Ron Weasley, well, they're the devious ones. They think of all of the pranks and mischief. Then Hermione Granger and I are, I guess, the brains, we keep the others from running into the dirt."
"Well, I got to say, there's a lot of you." We both chuckled.
"Some of us stick together better than others. Harry, Ron and Hermione called the golden trio by basically everyone except themselves. Then, James, Sirius, Peter and I are called the Marauders by nobody but ourselves."
Nico laughed softly, "nobody but yourselves huh, funny. Anyways, Percy said that Dumbledore told him there would be a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Any idea who they could be?"
"No clue, though I can't say that I wasn't expecting it. We haven't had a DADA teacher last more than a year for almost half a century." Remus replied.
"Well there's a very special event At Hogwarts this year, and apparently that's the reason that Dumbledore chose who he chose." Nico said, "no idea who it could be though."
Five minutes later Percy came back and the three spent the whole day getting to know each other.
'Percy is like me,' Remus thought, 'maybe full moons won't be so bad this year'

Sorry it's a little bit shorter, but I didn't want to send them to Hogwarts and then have to end it there. Normally I make the chapters at least 2000 words but this one only has 1600.
Still, I hope you liked it. As I'm writing this, the date is December 21 and I have written 2 and a half chapters since the 18th, that's a chapter finished everyday for three days. WOOHOO!!
