"Beauty Lives in You"
"You're plain, nothing is exceptional bout you!"
They joke blatantly that filled my mind with blue,
Running, overthinking --a voice screamed in my head,
Get in a department store and make them envy you instead!
A heart filled with hope believes dust will turn to gold,
But a plain-designed mirror shows up,
Pale irregular plump lips, red lipstick up!
Flat nose? Needed surgery to glow up,
Freckles, pimples, and eyebags will make you throw up.
A handy work, I came to a realization!
"This is not worth it, beauty is nothing about this abomination!"
Don't you think?
Cause my orbs may be plain, but it let me see the truth,
My lips are not considered gorgeous, but I speak beautifully.
I got flaws, called names, but I'm different in my own.
Cause beauty is deeper than the surface,
You don't need cosmetics to make them amaze,
I can be me, I can be proud, you can be you...
We are all queen in our own flaws,
Because beauty lives in our heart and soul.
It lives in you... us, all unique individuals.
