Chapter 10

After the tournament, it was time for the after party for the competitors and important figures in the demon kingdom. Every competitor from the tournament can invite a plus one to the party, but since you didn't really have anyone you wanted to bring, you were just going to go alone. Because anos was the winner of the tournament, he had the ability to bring as many guests as he wanted, to which he brought Misha and all 20 of his fangirls so he headed to the party before you since they were rushing anos to dance with them. To say thank you to you for saving her life, anos' mother let you get ready at her house. Luckily, Anos' mom was able to lend you one of her dresses from when she was your age and a pair of stilettos. You had put on a simple red spaghetti strap flowy dress since that was the only dress you were able to get at the last minute. Dresses weren't really your thing, especially since no one really cared about your outfits in bodiam. The fitting was alright, but the dress was slightly shorter than it should be since your legs were longer. You didn't like how your chest and shoulders were exposed because it showed the scars all over your body. As you were getting ready, you couldn't help but examine all your scars and feel self-conscious about them since it was proof of all the torture and suffering you had to endure when you were younger. Since you couldn't find a jacket to match your dress, you decide to drape a cloak over your shoulders as a substitute for a jacket. And since you were in stilettos, it was kind of hard to walk, but you got used to it eventually. As you slowly approached the venue, you could hear the music getting louder and louder as you got closer to the crowds of people waiting to get checked in. Once you see the long line of people waiting to get into the party, you sigh at how brainless people are trying to convince the bouncer to let them in without an invitation. You didn't want to wait in line, so you decided to teleport into the party. Within seconds, you were inside, and you were overwhelmed with everything that you saw. There were people everywhere and everyone was stuffed inside a tiny room. At every corner of the room, there were people flirting with each other and making out. It was a lot, especially since everyone was intoxicated. Eventually, you see Misha, anos, ray, Sasha, misa, and the fan girls across the room. Surprisingly, it seemed as though Ray brought misa as his plus one, which caught your interest since you didn't think they had anything, but then thought back to their conversation before the final battle. Seeing this kind of made you a little jealous since ray was supposed to go to the after party with you. Thankfully there was open bar at the party so you down a couple of drinks, and by couple you mean 5, as you walk pass the bar. Since you didn't really know anyone else, you tried to make it over to the other side of the room, but then you were stopped by men asking you for your number and to dance. You weren't interested, but the majority of them tried to grab you onto the dance floor so you couldn't get out. The music didn't help either because they were playing billboard 100 pop songs. As you were squished in between a group of guys in the middle of the dance floor, you were about to light everyone on fire because you were starting to feel tipsy from the drinks; however, everyone started to make way for someone onto the dance floor. Just as you catch your breath and get some air, you realize that everyone has made way for anos in the middle of the dance floor. Behind him were misha, sasha, and his fangirls. Still across the room, you see ray and misa talking and flirting with each other near the side tables. You were caught off guard on why anos was in front of you.

"Well I never would've pictured you as a dance freak..." you say as you look at anos slightly intoxicated. He instantly chuckles. "You'd be surprised what I have up my sleeve... boy do you smell like alcohol" He says as he extends out a hand to help you catch yourself from falling. "...thank you" You say as you look into anos' eyes. You clearly didn't realize what he meant so you took it as a compliment.

Suddenly, a slow song starts playing as you take anos' hand.

"Since we're here, why don't I show you..." He says as he pulls you in for a dance. This catches you off guard, so you immediately turn bright red as everyone is watching you in the middle of the dance floor. You could feel your body getting heated as you dance with anos, swaying side to side with each other. It felt nice dancing with anos as he held your waist and allowed you to lean on his shoulder. As the song reached an end, you slowly pulled yourself up from leaning on anos and you couldn't help but stare into his red demon eyes. "Anos..." You say as your face leaned slightly closer to his face. Suddenly, Sasha interrupts as you and anos were in your own separate worlds. "Uhm, Y/N. These guys bought you some drinks" Sasha says as she holds up a tray with over 10 drinks on it. Your eyes pop out at how many drinks you got because you couldn't just trash them. You sigh as you reach for one of the drinks, but anos was quick to interject and grab the tray of drinks. Before you could react, anos downs drink after drink until the tray was empty.
