Sahdev POV

"Bhrata shree I'm bored!!!" I say exaggeratively.

We had come to the Hastinapura palace with Mata months ago. It was a couple of weeks before gurukul began so we really had nothing to do. For the past many days the routine was the same get-up, morning practice, breakfast, study, read, in the garden, lunch, study, read, in the garden and dinner... And that's how we ended up here, under the cool shade of the mango tree in the open lush gardens of Hastinapur with virtually nothing to do.

Bhrata Bheem sat in the grass and peeled a mango for himself, the scent of the delicious fruit wafting to my senses, Arjun bhaiya reading one of the many books jyesth had decided we should read and study before gurukul, Jyesth himself leaning against the tree studying with Arjun bhaiya and Nakul lying in the grass half drowsy.

I was tired... and as anyone could tell very bored. All of us were!

"Same!!" Nakul agrees, nodding.

"You two are always bored! Why don't you go walk around the palace or something," Jyesth suggested not even glancing up from his book, flipping another page.

I rolled my eyes. Honestly why do I even bother? All Jyesth will do is tell us to continue doing our everyday stuff, no pranks, no fun, no nothing! Things had changed since we got here... a lot of things had. No matter how much we wished they hadn't. The tall empty stone walls of the palace had stolen our free spirits from the forest...

"Come kul let's go!" I grab Nakul's hand and make him sit up.

"Where??" He asks kinda stumbling to his feet making me roll my eyes.

"I don't know anywhere..." I said dragging him towards the palace doors.

We start walking randomly around the palace. The large halls, full of red and gold curtains, tapestries and vases, somehow all looking the same. Every single room decorated with gold and jewels and who knows what but there was nothing to explore! No adventure no... nothing.

Until we bump into Rajkumar Duryodhana and his minions *cough* I mean brothers, his brothers. Now that was one thing about this palace that definitely wasn't boring... mildly irritating yes, but not boring.

"What're you doing here??" He asks glaring at us.

"We can go wherever we please," Nakul responds 'politely' smiling.

"Nakul, I don't want any drama... remember what jyesth said! Let's just go," I say to Kul completely ignoring Duryodhan and his little gang.

We're walking away when I hear; "Yes go run away to your brothers," mocks Dushassn

"What're you talking about Dushassn what brothers? Don't you know these two aren't kunti putras," Laughs Duryodhan

We stop in our tracks, my lips turning to a slight frown. We'd always been a family, even before Mata passed. After mata Madri's death, mata Kunti has raised like her own sons. No! I won't let this poor excuse of a human being say anything about my family! But not right now...right now an unnecessary fight won't help anyone...

I feel Nakul clench his fists and he turns back.

"Nakul! Just ignore them, besides their unnecessary mockery won't change the fact that mata loves us," I say trying to calm him down.
