Sahdev POV
Calm... I felt calm... A warm blanket hugged me as I cuddled further into it my eyes still shut only somewhat aware that I was awake. Everything seemed fine... too fine... after everything that happened this isn't how I was supposed to feel, not even close! And for a second I almost believed that everything that happened in the last 48 hours was just some bad dream... maybe I was still at home... maybe all of that was just a horrible nightmare...
But my hope was quickly crushed and sweet bliss proved to be false as a concerned voice shook me awake, "Dev! Hey kiddo get up," I heard it, too hazy to figure out or even care who it was. "Nakuls awake..."
And with those words I immedietly sat up my that calm feeling replaced with panic, memories of everything that happened flashing in front of me.
"What?! I-..." I pushed the blanket off of me and realized I was in a room... not the room I was in, last I remembered... 'how did I fall asleep?? I was awake in Nakul's room... and what?... Karn?'
"Whoa calm down, he's not even completely awake yet he's just slowly gaining conscience, pitashree is with him don't worry..." Vrushali said putting her hand on my shoulder.
"How did I get here?!" I ask her sitting at the edge of the bed my sleep gone.
"Radhey brought you here after you fell asleep talking to him..." She said slightly looking to her left making my eyes narrow at her.
"Fell asleep or put to sleep?!" I ask getting up still glaring.
"What do you mean?" She said a lot more confidently.
"I mean did you put something in the milk I drank?" I say my voice flat making sure to control any anger that tried to surface knowing that anger right now wouldn't help much of anything.
"Why would we? And how?"
"This is a vaidyas house I'm no fool! Of course you have access to a sleeping medicine! And as for why, you tell me!"
"You're smart kid..." Karn says standing at the doorway of the room before Vrushali has the chance to respond.
"You drugged me!" I say glaring at him.
"Yes... you needed it and there was no other way for you to listen." He said calmly
"I don't care! Yo-"
"Stop both of you! If you're forgetting let me remind you that the patient is about to wake up! And is probably already awake! So dev please we can discuss this later right now your brother is more important." Vrushali said stopping what I'm assuming might have turned into an unnecessary argument.
Without another word I pushed past him rushing to see Nakul, panic and relief washing over me at the same time.
Nakul's POV
"Dev..." The first thing I said as my eyes cracked open but immediately shut as the bight sun light left my head throbbing in pain. My throat feeling like sandpaper, barely able to get any words out at all.
"Hello there," I heard a soft voice of who sounded to be a elderly man. 'Where am I? Who-? Where's Deva?!' These thoughts ran through my already throbbing head.
I tried to clench my fists around the bed sheets building up the strength to do something, anything other than just lay here. But I felt a sharp pain in my right shoulder making me wince.
"Don't stress yourself too much the wound is still healing and calm down, your brother is safe and I've sent someone to bring him here" The man said his voice calm and calculated.
