(Unknown POV)
Quickly, the woman pushed into the store and was welcomed by a familiar smell. White sage. She ignored the sense of familiarity and peace that washed over her and made a quick dash towards the back of the store. She bypassed the rows of crystals, books and oils without even stopping. It was out of habit for her. She paused by the beaded curtains and waited.
“Come in.” A voice told her as she waited. The woman walked in and came face to face with a man who was stirring some tea as he watched the rain pour from outside. “It has been a very long time since we’ve seen each other.” He told her. “I thought we agreed that you had to stay away for the sake of them all.”
The woman sighed. “I couldn’t. It wasn’t possible Joshua.”
“You shouldn’t have come back. It is dangerous here.” Joshua said as he looked up to the woman. “The fate of everything has been altered now. Do you realize that?”
She nodded. “I know. I just-”
“You brought whiskey to an AA meeting.” The man simply said as he handed her his cup of tea. “Drink.”
The woman sat down on his green couch and sipped the tea. “Tell me what to do.” She said after she finished her tea.
Joshua took her tea cup and looked inside it. “Hmm.” He said as he read her tea leaves. “Pray.” He said wistfully. “We are all in danger now.”
