Adrien straightened his overshirt and picked up his school bag before looking in the mirror. He felt a twinge of nerves as he checked his appearance.
"How do I look?" he asked his kwami. Plagg was floating nearby, chewing on a piece of cheese. He swallowed before speaking.
"You look and smell great. I'm sure Kagami will be very impressed," he said before taking another bite of his cheese.
"You think so?" He asked nervously. Plagg rolled his eyes.
"I know so. Who wouldn't want to go on a date with you?" He asked. He stuffed the rest of his cheese in his mouth.
"Ladybug," Adrien muttered to himself. He decided he looked fine and turned to fully face Plagg. "Come on, let's go to school," he said, pulling his overshirt open a little. Plagg flew in it to hide. Adrien headed downstairs and out his front door. He shut it just as Kagami's car pulled up to the curb. She had started giving him rides to school in the morning. Strangely enough, Adrien's father seemed fine with it. In fact, he encouraged it. And when Adrien had told him last night that Kagami had asked him on a date, his father had smiled a little and insisted Adrien say yes. So there Adrien was, headed towards Kagami's car, and about to tell her he would love to go on a date with her.
Adrien's heart pounded as he opened the door to Kagami's car and climbed in. He sat down and buckled his seatbelt before turning to Kagami with a smile. "Good morning, Kagami," he said.
"Good morning, Adrien," she said, smiling back. Adrien blushed slightly and his heart rate sped up.
"Um, Kagami?" He started nervously as the car pulled away from the curb and started heading towards their school.
"Yeah?" She asked.
"About what you asked me yesterday..." he said training off. Kagami's interest in what he had to say increased dramatically. She always paid attention to him, but now, she was especially attentive.
"I, uh...I'll go on a d-date with you," Adrien blurted out nervously, his cheeks turning pink. So much for being charming. How come this is so much easier as Cat Noir? Kagami smiled widely at him. It looked a little strange, seeing as she rarely smiled, and almost never smiled widely. She took his hand with hers.
"When do you want to do it?" She asked.
"I'll have to talk to my father about it," Adrien said. Kagami nodded in understanding. They arrived at the school and Adrien let go of Kagami's hand to unbuckle his seatbelt. He opened the door and went to get out when she grabbed his arm. Adrien turned to look back at her, only to see her face right there as she leaned forwards. She had probably intended to kiss his cheek, but the sudden movement of Adrien's head caused her to accidentally kiss his lips. Adrien turned bright red in surprise. Kagami pulled away after a few seconds, also blushing.
"Have a good day, Adrien," she said.
"Yeah, you too," Adrien said before getting out of the car and closing the door. He stepped away from the car and watched as it drove away. He was dazed. It was his first kiss; well, his first kiss as Adrien. What just happened?
Marinette's POV
Marinette stood, rooted to the spot in shock. She had just been listening to Alya talk about the speculations she had about Ladybug and Cat Noir's relationship when she'd heard a car pull up. She had turned to see Kagami's car. The door had opened, only to show Kagami pulling Adrien back. He had turned towards her as she leaned forward and caused an accidental kiss. Marinette knew it had only lasted a few seconds, but those few seconds seemed like an eternity. She felt like her whole world was caving under her.
