Chapter 6 Extra

A/N: Sorry this isn't an actual chapter guys.  I have finals coming up next week and have come down with a head cold, so I've been busy trying to study and get better.  I hope you enjoy this little piece of Alya's perspective.  In the meantime, I'm working on chapter 7 in my free time and I'll post it when I'm done!

Alya was sitting in her seat in the classroom. Everyone but her and Nino had left for home, where they'd be safer from the akuma. Chloe and Lila, who were both bewitched, had followed the other students out the door, still yelling random things. Nino was sitting next to Alya, his arms wrapped around her to comfort her.

"I can't believe that Marinette got akumatized," Alya said.

"We all have hard times and negative emotions, even Marinette," Nino said.

"I know. But Marinette seemed too strong to be akumatized," Alya said, placing her hands on Nino's and gripping them.

"Don't worry, Babe. Ladybug and Cat Noir will save her," Nino assured her.

"I know," Alya said. She was quiet for a minute, then asked "Nino?"

"Yeah?" he asked back.

"Do you think it's alright if just this once, I don't film the akuma? I know I'll be letting down my followers on the Ladyblog, but..." Alya trailed off.

"I know what you mean. I'm sure it's fine," Nino said comfortingly. Alya relaxed her grip on his hands and patted them so he knew to let go. He did, and she turned in her seat to face him.

"Should we go to your place, then?" she asked. Nino gave her a soft smile and nodded.

"Sure," he said. Alya stood up and grabbed her backpack. Nino took her hand, and they stepped away from the desk. They were almost to the door when a little red and black spotted creature flew towards them. Alya watched it approach, her jaw dropping in shock as it got closer.

"Nino, is that a kwami?" she asked.

"I think so," he said, sounding surprised. Alya cupped her hands together and held them up for the little creature to rest in them. The kwami settled onto Alya's hands. She looked upset.

"Are you alright?" Alya asked her. The kwami shook her head.

"Who are you?" Nino asked.

"I'm Tikki, the ladybug kwami," the small kwami replied.

"Wait, you're Ladybug's kwami? What happened to Ladybug? And why do you have her earrings?" Alya asked in alarm.

"There's not much I can say except that Ladybug isn't able to fight in this akuma fight," Tikki replied. She looked up at Alya, holding the earrings out to her. "Will you be Ladybug for this fight?" Alya hesitated before moving one of her hands to take the earrings.

"Are you sure it's alright for me to do this?" Alya asked. Tikki nodded.

"It'll be fine. It's only this once," she said.

"What do I do with the earrings after the fight?" Alya asked.

"Give them to me and I'll take them back to Ladybug," Tikki said. Alya nodded before placing the earrings in her ears. Tikki floated out of her hand and hovered in the air. "You say, 'Tikki, spots on' to transform, " she said to Alya. Alya nodded.

"Don't worry. I'll try to make the fight a quick one so you don't have to be away from Ladybug for too long," she said. Tikki nodded and gave Alya the smallest of smiles. "Ok. Tikki, spots on!" Alya said. Tikki got sucked into the earrings and Alya transformed into Ladybug. Nino stared at her, wide-eyed.

"You make one awesome Ladybug," he said. Alya shrugged and looked at her hands.

"I think I prefer being the fox," she said.

"You look cute either way," Nino said. Alya looked up to see a slight blush covering his cheeks.

"Awww, thanks," she said, booping him on the nose. "Now, I better go help Cat Noir before something happens to him." Nino grabbed her hand.

"Be safe," he said. Alya smiled and kissed him on the cheek.

"Don't worry, I'll be back before you know it!" she said. She then left the classroom, threw her yoyo, and swung away.
