Gajeel's pov.
Today is the day when I get to fight Salamander again, only this time I'm going to win. I've been practicing everyday, showing off such hard work, and I hope all that practicing pays off. I go through the doors of the guild and call out Salamander's name. "Hey Salamander!! Where are you, show your ugly ass face here, right now!!!." I then see him come out with a girl that looked very similar to me, only she had a silver spiky ponytail, like mine. She had bolts on her arms and face, she was like an exact replica of me, but as a girl with silver hair. By the looks on her face, she didn't like the Salamander, she looked bored as hell. I went over to them and yelled in front of Natsu's face. "Yo Natsu, are we gonna fight or not?!," "Oh hey Gajeel, hold on a second will ya. This here is (Y/n) (l/n), and guess first," "umm an ice mage, celestial mage? I don't know man." He looks back at her and she nods at him. "She's an iron dragon slayer, just like you! Awesome right?" "Yea I guess, but we still have a fight to start". I then felt a hand push me back, away from the salamander. "What the hell!?!" "Umm...actually salamander here promised me we would fight today. So, why don't you fight him another day?" "Here's a better idea...why don't we both fight together". I see her facial expression turn from a pissed off face to a smirk. "That works too". We both look at salamander and start to fight. Both me and (Y/n) throw punches, kicks, iron fists, iron roars, etc. It was a perfect fight, I felt like I was on a fighting date with (Y/n). 'Wait...No shut up Gajeel, you don't know what you're thinking. She probably doesn't even like you, so stop fantasizing and fight!', I mentally slapped myself and saw (Y/n) giggling, which showed her dragon teeth. I blushed at my actions and kept fighting with a smirk.
(Y/n)'s pov.
I look at Gajeel and see that he slapped himself, which made me giggle. Now that I get a better look at Gajeel, he's really not that bad. I mean like, I can already tell by his actions that he's going to be a good friend of mine. He seems funny, nice, tough, sweet, protective, strong, and has a lot of enthusiasm, not to mention courage as well. 'Hmm...if only I can get to know him a little more, then maybe we can be something more than friends. Maybe' I thought as we finished fighting with salamander, it was a good fight though. As I head outside of the guild, I felt someone tap on my shoulder. My reflexes acted, making me flip the person behind me over onto the floor. 'Omg it's Gajeel....oh god, umm what do I do?. Stupid reflexes', I mentally slapped my face and helped him up. "I'm so sorry Gajeel, you know how our reflexes act when someone touches us. I didn't know it was you, I'm very sorry" "haha, it's ok and...yeah I very much know about our reflexes. Only dragon slayers have that, don't worry". I smiled and we both went to the ice cream shop. I had a (favorite flavor) ice cream and Gajeel got a coffee ice cream. Once we finished our ice creams, we went around the town for a little tour, even if we already knew the whole place. It didn't matter, as long as I was with him. I even got to know him more and turns out that I was right, he was really funny and sweet. When I was talking with Gajeel, Sting came out of nowhere pissed, we were confused and asked him why?. He said that he was very jealous seeing me and Gajeel together, so for no reason, what so ever he threw a punch at me. But, it never came, I opened my eyes and saw that Gajeel had turned his arm into an iron shield. "Sting, get the hell out of here now!. And never touch my beautiful iron girl!" I blushed at this point, he had protected me from a punch and he gave me a nickname. I smiled at him and thanked him. All the fun was gone when we both had to leave, it was getting late and us dragon slayers need energy. Gajeel had dropped me off at my house and gave me a kiss goodnight on the cheek. As he was leaving, I couldn't help it anymore, so I ran behind him and tackled him down. "Ahh!! Holy shit (y/n) you scared the shit out of me! Are you ok? Do you need something?" "Gajeel...I can't contain this anymore. I've been wanting to tell you something since the day we first met" "what is it?" "I-I....I love you Gajeel". His eyes widened in shock and soon a smile appeared. "Oh (Y/n)...I've been wanting to say the same thing to you, but I was too shy to even tell you. I love you too, (Y/n)". We both smiled and kissed passionately. We soon went back to our homes and remembered this great day.
Next day Gajeel's pov.
As I entered the guild I saw (Y/n) walking towards me with that beautiful smile of hers. I then see Natsu come towards us as well. "Hey Gajeel wanna fight today again?", I smirked and wrapped my arm around (Y/n)'s waist and pulled her closer to me. "Sorry Natsu, but we're busy today, also known as: we have plans. Maybe some other time". We both left, leaving a wide open mouthed Natsu. "Should we tell him?" "Nah...let him figure it out himself" "I think he already has". We then started to laugh and head towards the mission wall. 'Oh how I love my beautiful iron girl'
