Journey With Selene

Chapter 3

"One last pose Selene." the photographer yelled

I faced the camera giving such fierce eyes. I heard a click of the camera and with that I rested my body. Kelly ran towards me with a water in her hand. Dito kami sa beach nag-photoshoot kung kaya maraming tao ang naka-masid.

"Are you comfortable with the people?" Sabi nya at inikot ang tingin.

"Yeah." I drank the water from her before going to the directors area.

"The photos are lovely Selene, we will review them before we proceed to phase 2. Lunch break nyo muna."

I smiled at the staff and went to the tent room. Maaliwalas naman dito at malamig, nandon sina Jude na nag-aayos ng props para mamaya. I sat on the chair next to the table, hanggang phase 2 muna kami ngayon before proceeding to the other shoots.

"Miss Selene, ipapadala na daw po ang pagkain ninyo." Paalala sakin ni Jane. Tumango ako sa kanya at uminom muli ng tubig, masyadong maaraw ngayon.

After minutes of waiting a familiar man caught my eyes. I saw him walking with a tray full of foods in his hands. Kumunot ang noo at pinagmasdan ang mata nya. He's looking for something, his eyes stopped at me. He smiled as he walks towards my direction. "Your food ma'am."

Tumaas ang kilay ko at pinagmasdan ang pagkain. A cup of rice, mac and cheese, kani salad at kaldereta. "All around ka ha." I said.

Sasagot na sana sya nang tawagin sya ni Nicole. "Kuya, pwede daw po ba na ikaw muna magbantay dito. Aalis po kasi saglit yung staff para may kasama si Miss. Selene."

Kumunot ang noo ko at tinignan si Apollo. "Y-yeah sure." He said. I saw how Nicole blushed before closing the door. Unti-unti na rin umalis ang ibang staff at kalaunan ay naiwan kaming dalawa sa tent room.

I looked at my food before eating it. Napansin ko na umupo si Apollo sa harap ko, I ignored his presence since I'm hungry. "I watched your shoot." He shared.

"Am I good?"

He smirked. "Oo naman, you look hot." Ani nya sa malalim na boses. I felt my face heated, he complimented me?

"Though, required talaga na sobrang revealing ng suot?" He said as he eyed my clothes. I'm wearing a black two peice below a yellow see through dress.

"Hindi naman, beach kasi ang theme ng shoot ko ngayon." I explained. He looked satisfied with what I said.

"Kumain ka na ba?" I asked.

He smiled. "Oo naman, worried ka?"

Sinamaan ko sya ng tingin, ang yabang talaga nito. "Just asking" sabi ko at inirapan sya

"Wala kang day off?"

I took a bite from my mac and cheese before facing him. "Meron naman, mga 5 days ganon. Tatlong buwan naman ako dito eh."

"Anong gagawin mo sa rest days mo?"

Maka-tanong kala mo aayain ako ng date. "Hmm baka mag-ikot ganon, travel sa kalapit na bayan. I wanna explore Mindoro."

Tumango-tango sya, "Well I know a place. Kelan next rest day mo? Pasyal tayo."

I smiled, mukha namang mabait to si Apollo at hindi naman ata masama kung sasama ako sa kanya diba? "Next week, isang buong linggo yun."

He smiled at me, I saw how his eyes disappeared from his face, cute. "Sige, buong linggo ako kasama mo."

"Is that a date?" I teased.

"Would you go on a date with me?" He fired back.

"There's a chance." I said.

He smirked. "Then it's a date with me." He said.

I laughed at him. "San ka pala nakatira? Dito lang din ba sa white beach?"

Tumango sya. "Isang tricycle lang ang layo namin, dito na din ako nagta-trabaho since mas malaki kita ko dito."

"If you wouldn't mind, magkano kinikita mo?"

He looked at me in the eyes. "2k a week, kasya na yun samin ni Lola."

Tumango ako. "Ayaw mo magtrabaho sa Manila?"

"Sapat naman na ang kinikita ko, isa pa kailangan ko pa magtapos ng kolehiyo."

I looked at him. "Nag-aaral ka pa?"

He somehow looked embarrassed even though wala namang nakakahiya. "Oo eh, nag-stop kasi ako nung 18 ako para magtrabaho. Graduating na ako ngayon." He somehow looks proud since makakatapos na sya.

"Ano course mo?"

"Mechanical Engineering, 24 naman na ako. For sure matatanggap pa ako sa kompanya no?" mas matanda pala sya sa akin ng isang taon

Tumango ako. "Oo naman, muka ka namang matino na estudyante." I encouraged. Wala namang masama kung late ka makakatapos.

"Eh ikaw? Ano natapos mo? Nag-college ka ba? Diba halos lahat ng artista di nag-college kasi may trabaho na?" He said, purely confused.

I giggled. "Oo naman no, nag-aral ako sa Ateneo, I graduated as a Chemical Engineer. Tsaka nagsimula lang naman ako ng pag-aartista nang patapos na ako kaya di naman ako nahirapan."

Tumango sya. "Ayaw mo ipagpatuloy natapos mo?"

My face slowly dropped. "I wish I could, pero may career ako. Nonetheless masaya ako sa karerang mayroon ako."

We began to chat more and before I knew it tapos na ang lunch break. "Miss Selene labas na daw po kayo." Paalala ni Jane.

I looked at Apollo who's standing next to me. "I'll watch you." He said.

I laughed, "Then I'll make myself look pretty." I said.

Sabay kaming lumabas ng tent, before parting ways he looked at me. Nginitian ko sya, ngumiti rin sya at kinindatan ako bago umalis. This boy

True to his words, Apollo really did watched me. I would often daw him staring at me, and I would smile at him whenever I have the chance. "Dapa ka na Selene."

I fixed my cover up before leaning against the sand. I stared at the camera and did some poses. May mga pose pa na naka-upo ako habang hawak ang beer, trying to make an illusion that I'm drinking the beer.

While retouching, I looked at Apollo's direction. I smiled at him, he winked at me before smirking. Pabiro akong umirap at tinuon ang pansin sa set. We did more shots before calling it a wrap. Hindi ko na rin nakita si Apollo, baka bumalik na sa trabaho

"Selene tomorrow is indoor naman, 10am ang call time. Dapat gising ka na by 7:30 okay." Paalala ni Kelly.

"Sige." I answered, nagpalit na ako ng cotton shorts at button down cardigan.

"Oo nga pala, wala kang shoot next week. Ano balak mo?" She asked.

I looked at her. "Uhm, I'll be off. I will explore."

Tumaas naman ang kilay nya. "With? Hindi mo kabisado itong Mindoro." She stated.

"I know but I'll be with a friend."

Mas lalong tumaas ang kilay ni Kelly, I laughed. "Selene wala kang kakilala dito. Or maybe you have?"

Umirap ako. "Fine, I met someone a couple of days ago. He's nice, and a local."

Kumunot naman ang noo nya. "He?!"

"Y-yes. He's Apollo."

She smirked. "Iyon ba yung gwapo na naghatid sayo ng pagkain kanina?"

"Y-yes."

She laughed. "Fine, basta be careful ha. Also be vigilant, mamaya may makakilala sayo at isipin na you're "cheating" "

I shook my head, even though wala naman talagang kami ni Marco, our fans are assuming that we are inlove. "May isang buwan ka pa okay, onting tiis na lang." Sabi nya.

Tumango ako sa kanya at tinanaw ang bracelet ko na binili ko kina Apollo. Kaonting tiis na lang Selene
