Journey With Selene

Chapter 4

"Be careful Selene." Paalala ni Kelly at inabot sakin ang sunglasses ko.

I smiled at her. "I will, enjoy your stay here din." I grabbed my bag filled witj extra clothes and other necessity.

I looked at myself in the mirror. I'm wearing a green bralette and high waisted denim shorts. I topped it with a baby blue polo and sandals. I tied my hair into a bun, letting some baby hairs fall out of my face. I applied light make-up, only with sunscreen, blush and lip cream.

"I'll lock the door for you, go na." Sabi ni Kelly.

I smiled at her before grabbing my bag. Napagdesisyunan namin ni Apollo na magkita sa tiangge. Lumabas ako ng rest house at dumiretso sa tiangge. Agad ko din namang nakita si Apollo, wearing a black sando and swimming shorts.

I smiled at him. "Hey there." I greeted.

"Ready for today?"

Tumango ako. "Tara sakay tayo ng tricycle." Nagsimula na syang maglakad kung kaya sumunod na ako sa kanya. He's very tall, at agaw pansin rin ang kagwapuhan nya. Maybe that's the reason why young ladies are looking at him

"Kuya Karlos sa may daungan lang po." Sabi niya sa tricycle driver.

"Pasok ka na."

Pumasok ako sa tricycle at agad din naman syang sumunod. Our skin touched and I can smell his manly scent right under my nose. "It's a ten minute drive from here."

Tumango ako at tumingin sa daanan. Trying to memorize the way and familiarize myself with the sorroundings. Unti-unti ay dumating kami sa malubak at mapuno na daan, baka malapit na kami?

I looked at Apollo, he looks serious. He has a slim tanned face, his lips are pinkish. His nose are proud and his eyes are in the perfect almond shape. "Done staring at me?"

Umiwas ako ng tingin. "I was looking at the trees." Palusot ko.

He chuckled, making his adams apple move. Suddenly the tricycle stopped. Tinanaw ko ang lugar. Daungan ito ng maliliit ng bangka, may mga nakasabit din na banderitas. "Come." Ani ni Apollo at naglahad ng kamay.

I held his hands and got out of the tricycle. Mahangin din dito at sa tabi ay may nagtitinda ng buko at tubig. Hinila ako ni Apollo sa may wooden dock. "Oh Apollo, ngayon na ba ang layag?" Tanong ng isang bangkero.

"Opo, pwede na po ba kami sumakay?"

The bangka was quite big, may bubong ito at lifejacket. Kung tutuusin kasya dito ang anim na tao. "How much would we pay?" Bulong ko kay Apollo.

"Hindi ko pa alam, nagdala ka ng pera?"

Tumango naman ako sa kanya. I glanced at our hands, hindi pa rin sya bumibitaw. "Hijo, okay na."

I looked at Apollo before heading to the bangka. May manipis na kahoy kang sasampahan para makasakay sa bangka. Naunang sumakay sa akin si Apollo. Nilahad nya ang kamay nya sa akin para alalayan ako. I held his hands before stepping in. He grabbedy waist and swung me across the boat.

"Marunong ka lumangoy?" He asked.

I looked at him, sobrang lapit ng muka namin. "Oo naman."

He laughed before guiding me to seat. "Ma'am suotin nyo po ito." Sabi ng bangkero at inabot sakin ang life jacket.

I looked at him and smiled, nawala naman ang ngiti nya nang makita ako. "Artista ka?" Takang tanong nya.

"Opo, I'm Selene."

Ngumiti sya at may kinapkap sa bulsa nya. Isang cherry mobile na cellphone. "Pwede po magpa-picture, idol ka ng anak ko ma'am."

Ngumiti naman ako. "Sige po."
