Chapter 7 - huge grin

Once the others arrived, everyone on the table started chatting happily. There was teasing and laughs and dumb comments and maybe Hoseok getting a little slap on the shoulder in good fun.

I never really participated in lunch conversations, so I just silently ate my food and watched the others fool around.

The moment I heard Jimin giggle at something Jungkook said I couldn't help but wish it was just the two of us, eating Ramen and only me making him laugh.

Shaking my head slightly, I tried to rid myself of that thought - it was unnecessary anyways.

"Oh my god!"

I slightly winced at Hoseoks voice, as he excitedly shouted and pointed at someone a few feet away from us - who surprisingly hadn't heard his spontaneous outburst.

"He's so handsome today again. Look at him! Man, his soulmate has to be the luckiest person alive", he continued, a little more silently, as to make sure his object of affection didn't hear him.

I couldn't help but lightly smile at the effect the student had on my friend.

"Who's that?", Jimin asked, because how could he have known about Hoseoks hopeless crush, that has been going on for almost a year now?

Namjoon quickly jumped in to explain the situation.

"That's Kim Taehyung. He's one year below us and Hoseok here fell for him at first sight last year."

"He's not the only one, though!", Jin quickly continued his boyfriends story, "Half the school was into him, and in his first two weeks alone around 26 people approached him to compare soulmarks, so he decided to just wear a sweatband over it and not show it to anyone anymore. And, while being extremely extroverted, Hoseok is a shy little bitch", at that, Hoseok let out a offended sound, "that didn't ask him to compare before that. So now he's just stuck crushing on him and not knowing if he has a chance."

At that, Hoseok laid his head face down on the table and let out a frustrated sound.

"You should at least talk to him once", I jumped into the conversation, only to dig into my food again straight away.

"It's not that easy! I get so nervous whenever I so much as look at him!", he cried out and looked at me with desperate eyes.

At that, Jimin suddenly got up with a determined look on his face and started walking towards our topic of conversation.

"T-tell me he's not doing what I think he's doing", Hoseok whispered, but I didn't know what to answer, as I saw Jimin talk to Kim Taehyung and suddenly whip out his phone, only to hand it to the taller guy and let him put something in.

A few minutes passed until Jimin came back to our table with a huge grin - that made my heart skip a beat - on his face and presented us a contact on his phone that said 'Kim Taehyung'.

"He is also going to get coffee with all of us after his courses are over today. So now you don't really have an excuse not to talk to him, Hoseok."

This boy was simply amazing.
