"From what you're telling me, this guy seems nice. What did you say his name was again?" Ama asked Laura while popping a fry in her mouth making her words come out as a jumbled mess.
They had camped out in her room having a movie marathon with cans of drinks littered all over the floor, packets of fries, an empty plate that once had two sandwiches sitting upon it and of course Laura's super power, chocolate, lots and lots of them. They decided to spend the day together since Ama didn't have to man the shop and cope with annoying Clara today and Laura had a curfew. It was a perfect meet up plan.
Ama was clearly amused that Laur was telling her about someone, a guy to be specific. Laur had always been a stuck up introvert. Ama knew how long it took for Laur to start opening up to her but this mystery guy had done it effortlessly."Armando. At least that's what he told me." Laura replied distracted by the chocolatey goodness in front of her.
"Sounds oddly familiar. You said he's a business man right? Did you get his surname?" Ama asked still munching on her chips and concentrating on something she was presently seeing on her laptop.
"Yes he's a business man and no I didn't get his surname." Laura answered regretting her second stupid mistake that night. Of course the first was leaving without giving him any means to contact her for their supposed date.
"I know I've heard that name before!" Ama exclaimed still looking at something on her laptop.
"What? Where?" Laura replied looking interested in whatever Ama was looking at.
"Come here and take a look. I don't know if he's your mystery man but the man I'm presently looking at is Armando Ortega the one and only Greek god. Present CEO of Ortega." Ama answered intelligently.
"Ortega? You mean that famous company?" Laura said getting up from the bed and approaching Ama where she sat in a chair in front of her desk. She had heard about the company a few times probably from her parents or siblings but she wasn't really the business world type.
"Yup" Ama replied still locking her gaze on her laptop screen.
"Nah. I don't think he could be the one. What would he be doing at a bar at that time of the night, talking to me when he....." The rest of her statement was lost as she stared at those steely grey eyes. The exact same ones that made appearances in her dreams these past nights. Her mystery man was Armando Ortega, the hottest bachelor and the talk of the Town basically the whole continent and probably across. He was known for his egoistic nature and strong attitude and let's not forget his glorious face. Laura heard few things about him, but she had never seen him before and none of those descriptions seemed to match the man she met a few nights ago. No he was the complete opposite. An absolute gentleman. The only thing that matched between the man on the screen and the one she met considering what she'd heard and experienced, was their faces. They spent few hours together but Laura knew a good person when she saw one and he was one. What she didn't get was....
"Laur? Don't tell me he's the one."
Ama said obviously curious for Laura's answer.Laura could only nod her head and open and close her mouth like a fish. She was shocked! How did that ever happen? Did he know who she was and wanted to use her to make a business deal with her father? Mia could be right after all.
"Amanda get your stupid self downstairs this minute." Clara's voice bellowed around the house from downstairs.
"Coming!" Ama shouted back and rushed out the door to meet her angry sister but not before telling Laura well done and giving her a pat on her butt.
