"How did I forget this important detail?" Laura asked herself groaning. She was presently inside her car driving like a crazy lady. Armando had it driven over to his penthouse last night by his driver, Brook; the only sensible thing she could praise Armando for this morning.
He was the reason why she was currently in a frenzy driving like she was a character in the fast and furious movie. When she said she was running late, he decided that was the time to kiss her and make her weak in the knees making her forget about her parents flight that had landed 20 minutes ago. All thanks to Ash for blowing her phone up and bringing her back to consciousness. Maybe he was doing it intentionally.
She had finally arrived home, parked her car and hurried to the front door. She opened it and silently prayed; Please let them not be home, please God please. She made her way to the steps and started climbing.
"Daddy doesn't get a welcome hug from you?" Laura heard her father's voice from behind her freezing her in place. So much for answered prayers.
"Dad!" She said jumping into his arms surprising him. That was odd. She was usually giving him short hugs with a muttered 'welcome dad' or 'hey dad, how was your trip?'. He returned the hug nevertheless.
"Hey! Don't I get one too?" Chloe said getting a hug in return from Laura. She locked eyes with her husband over Laura's shoulder and he gave her the raised eye brows look.
"How was your trip? I hope everything went well." Laura said looking from her mum to her dad.
They quickly masked their shocked looks and told her everything about the cheating manager of their other branch. How they'd fired him and blacklisted him in the business world. Tay, Mia and Ash came in later and joined in the discussion after Ash welcomed them. She didn't miss the looks they gave her and she just knew that Ash had opened her big mouth again.

"Sooooo what happened yesterday?" Ash finally asked. She'd been wanting to ask but her parents didn't want to stop talking about the trip.
The girls had finally escaped to Mia's room; their camp site and Ash immediately popped the question asking Laura what the girls all wanted to know. Of course Ash had told her sisters and In her defense, Laura wasn't picking her calls or replying her texts so she had every right to do so.
"Ash I told you to shut your big mouth." Laura groaned. They'd practically dragged her here to pour out her heart and soul because apparently, Ash spilled the beans.
"You didn't tell me what to shut up about exactly." Ash defended.
"Tell us already Laur. Did you guys settle?" Tay said eagerly, resting her beautiful face on her palms to face Laura.
"Ughhh! How did you even know we had a fight?" Laura asked.
"Apart from the fact that little Ashley here, has a problem keeping her mouth shut, anyone with eyes would have noticed your grumpy and moody attitude." Mia said with a duh tone finally joining the discussion.
"I'm not little." Ash grumbled.
"I agree with Mia. Mom even noticed. You made it obvious when you stopped sleeping in her room." Tay said.
"Really? Oh no." Laura groaned face palming. Why did she have to be so obvious. Yes, she left the room, but that was because it felt like the right thing to do at the time. She felt wanted at the moment even if it was just by Armando and she didn't feel useless anymore. She didn't think her mum would notice that little act.
