Dedicated to my friend for life
Liviadeviva"What? No I'm not into girls. I'm definitely sure I'm into guys. That was a peck on the cheek, how can you insinuate something like that from that gesture of friendship? I'm not into girls and I never will be. Not that I have anything against the gay population but I'm just not.... Ughh! Forget it." Laura groaned and face palmed herself after realizing that she had spilled too much therefore earning her a dose of embarrassment that could last her two life times.
"Look, I'm straight okay?" Laura said while turning around to make her way over to the cashier to ring her items.
"If it makes you feel any better, I'm glad you're into men." Armando finally replied smugly.
"Nice try. But nope it doesn't." Laura said using her fingers to brush her hair making it to fall over her now red face to save her from further embarrassment.
"So tell me, what kind of guys are you into?" Armando asked half joking and half curious. He was oblivious to stares he was getting while following Laura to where the supermarket cashier was positioned. He was used to it.
"The type that do not creep up on people." Laura replied after dropping a different packets of random chocolates bars she wanted to try out on the table.
Armando waited for them to get out of the store before replying."I didn't creep up on you." He finally said.
"Keep saying it and you just might believe it. Creep" Laura said in a sing song voice giving her self a mental pat on her back for that well deserved reply.
"I'm not a creep. I just happened to be at the same supermarket you were." Armando replied praying she dropped the subject.
"Oh really? What did you buy?" She said looking at his empty hands and giving him a pointed look.
"A particular men's product I came looking for wasn't available at the moment." Armando said still looking composed despite the lie
"Okay, what's the name?" Laura asked again. He surely didn't buy men's product from this supermarket. And Why was she suddenly interested in the products he wanted to buy? Could she detect his lie? Armando thought.
"You know, for someone who denied being gay earlier, you sound like one." Armando smartly answered turning the heat from himself to Laura.
"Urghhhh. I said I like men. And what does that have to do with men's products? I could be asking for my dad or brothers." Laura practically groaned.
"Thanks for the reassurance and I believe your father is capable of getting his products himself." Phew! That was a close one.
"Whatever." Laura replied while checking her bag for something. She finally found it and proceeded to open a car in front of her. Car keys! Armando did the only logical thing his brain told him to do. He grabbed her wrist yanking her towards him making them bump chest to chest. Their eyes connected and he was lost again, he could feel her bra clad breasts against his chest and he imagined how they would feel in his mouth. Damn! What was he thinking?
"Trying to run from me again I see. How about our date?" Armando managed to get out amidst his thoughts.
"Oh that. I totally forgot." Laura replied. She seemed to be coming out of her own daze too. She couldn't deny the same butterfly tingly feeling that resurrected when their hands touched again. Maybe she should try that date. If might help with the strange reactions.
"I know a really nice place we could go to. It's just opposite." Armando said lowly making his voice sounds deeper still keeping eye contact. Of course he was referring to Suzy's.
