"Engineer Collins,"
Napalingon ako dahil narinig ko ang boses ni Lay, a construction engineer and also my workmate. He's wearing a maong pants and a plain white shirt which is a big no to me. Napakunot ang noo ko dahil sa suot niya. Seriously?
"Why are you wearing that colour?" I asked as I walk towards him.
"Why? Is there anything wrong with my shirt? It looks clean," he said.
"Yeah, it looks clean. But one thing is for sure," I smirked. "Your shirt will definitely go darker later."
We're currently on a construction site, may pinapatayong commercial building dito sa Toronto. He's wearing a white dress shirt. Pag alis niya rito ay paniguradong puro alikabok na siya. Isa sa mga iniiwasan ko sa site ay ang magsuot ng puting damit dahil may mga alikabok, mahirap maglaba ng puti.
"Look who's talking," he laughed and looked at me from head to toe. "You're wearing a black off shoulder in the construction site? It's inappropriate, Mr. Santos will fire you after seeing you like this."
"Oh come on, we're still not inside. I have here my coat and besides, I'm just gonna check 'em quickly. Don't you dare tell Mr. Santos about this or else," I sighed. That Mr. Santos is a pain in the ass. He doesn't like everything from me!
"Or else what?" he playfully smiled at me.
"I'm gonna tell Nadia you're cheating with a whore in a club." I smirked.
"What the fuck, Luna? I told you I didn't!" he shouted as I walk inside the site. I am already wearing my coat, vest, and safety hat. I know he didn't, I just love seeing him getting super frustrated with that accusation.
"Good morning, Ma'am." the guards and construction workers greeted me as I entered the site. I looked at the whole area, the construction is going smooth. This commercial building is set to be done before 3-4 months. Well, I do hope they can manage to do this perfectly. The client was a quite perfectionist yet he doesn't want to give us much time to make it perfect. I can't even argue because we agreed to this project. It would be nice if the time would be 6-7 months. Well, I'm used to this kind of projects. It's not like how a one year small house renovation in the Philippines anyways.
I am just here in Toronto for some certain reasons. First is, I have business plans here for a month. Second, Lay hired me to be one of the engineer here. Third, I have to visit my friend, Nadia. Though she's really not always here because she's a flight attenattendant.
"Where are you going after here?" Lay asked as he finished talking to the workers.
"I think I have to check some materials and meet my supplier later. Anyways, I wanna have some cheesy musubi, can you tell me where did you order that thing last time?"
"Oh, that food? Ah, I can't remember. I lost the flyer." he said while brushing his hair. He seems to be distracted or should I say attracted? I looked at him. Is he looking at me? Probably no, I mean, he should not look at me that way because it's gonna be super cringey. So I looked at my back and saw a woman wearing a red fitted dress and a heels with a hard hat?
What the hell?!
"Luna!" she shouted and ran towards us.
"Nadia! What the heck are you wearing?" she chuckled and hugged me. "I thought you have a flight?" I asked.
"It's a prank!" I rolled my eyes. "Let's go to the club later! I missed you!" she shouted that's why some workers looked at us.
I smiled at them and rolled my eyes to Nadia. This woman will never get tired of her shit club days! I looked at my phone and I saw it's friday. A shit club day indeed, what a wrong timing. I looked at Lay and he just smirked. They're currently engaged and they both love clubs. Well, once they get married, I know they'll definitely stop.
