When he left, I sank down onto my bed, and buried my head in my hands. "What the fuck am I going to do now?" I muttered. "Are you going to send me away?" Anna asked. I looked up and met her gaze. She almost looked fully human now. There was just a slight shimmer to her as she moved. "No. I just don't know how I'm going to avoid it yet. I'll figure something out. Stay here while I go shower. Maybe I can think in there." I started towards the bathroom, then thought of something. "Anna," I said, turning back to her. "Yeah?" she answered. "Were you in the kitchen last night?" I could tell by the look on her face. She bit her lip and started worrying it harshly. "Um...maybe. I was bored and everyone was asleep Colby. I'm sorry, but your kitchen is barf worthy. Boys are grody. I was just going to clean up, then remembered that I couldn't. The glass fell and I couldn't stop it. I'm sorry." I sighed, and smiled to make her feel better. "It's fine. Don't worry about it. I'll be out soon." Once I undressed and had the water almost hot enough to scald me, I stepped inside the shower. The intensely heated water beat against my knotted muscles, as I stood under the spray. What was I supposed to do now? I would have to box the doll up and take it with us. I didn't have a choice. I would have to figure out a way to distract Sam from actually sending it off somewhere. I could do this. It shouldn't be to hard to convince him to take a haunted doll to the Queen Mary, if I had too. I stayed in the shower longer than necessary, just to waste time so that we wouldn't be able to go to the post office first. I was in my room, choosing an outfit when Sam banged on my door. I watched Anna's form fade out just as he opened it. He took in my towel clad form and shook his head. "Actually? We were supposed to leave 20 minutes ago. Kian and JC are already waiting for us." "Sorry. I kinda lost track of time in the shower. I'm almost ready. Promise." He sighed and rolled his eyes. "I'm gonna have to start lying about the time so that you'll be ready on time." I cracked a grin as he headed out and shut my door behind him. "Sorry!" I yelled, laughing as I grabbed my black leather jacket. It was almost Halloween so the air could get a little chilly sometimes. It went well with the outfit I chose too. The black button down rolled up to my elbows, with the red pattern on the shoulders. I put my harness on over it, then paired it with with my black pants with the white print. I had blow dried my hair and had it styled just the way I wanted. I slid my rings and chains on to complete the look. "You look really nice. Betty worthy even." Anna appeared next to me, meeting my gaze in the mirror. I grinned and did a sort of spin move. She started giggling. The sound made my stomach feel weird. "Make sure you get inside the doll. Or just stay invisible and quiet. I don't need them thinking that I'm more crazy than they already do." She rolled her eyes. "I know Colby. I'll stay quiet and invisible. Like I'm not ever there." I nodded, grabbed the XPLR bag that was packed already and her doll in the other hand. "Guess we can-" "COOOLLBBBYYY" Sam bellowed from downstairs. "Oh for fuck's sake," I sighed. "COMING!" I yelled back. "Let's go," I told Anna, then headed out my door and down the stairs. "You're worse than a woman," Sam joked once I made it downstairs. "Shut up," I replied, laughing at him. He nodded his head to the box that he had sitting on the entry way table. "You can stick her in there. We'll put her in the trunk." I nodded and put Anna's doll inside the box. I carried it to the car, and popped the trunk, setting it gently inside. "Sorry," I whispered, then slammed the lid of the trunk shut. Sam and I head towards the C4 house, which is where JC lived. He and Kian were supposed to be waiting there for us. As Sam had said, they were outside on the curb, their bags next to them. I pulled up next to them and we waited for them to climb inside the backseat. "What's up guys?" I said, once they got settled. I glanced in the rearview as I pulled away from the curb, just in time to see Kian scoot up against JC, pushing him against the door. "Scoot over dad, I need some rooooom," he said in between bouts of laughter. "Stooooppp!" JC yelled. I wasn't surprised because these two were the crack dads of the YouTube world. Their insistent, good natured bickering was part of what made them...well, them. It was still kind of surreal that I was about to call them friends now. I used to look up to JC. He was one of the main guys that I really wanted to meet when Sam and I first started our own YouTube channel. Now, he was a contact in my phone, we invited each other to our parties, we hung out. We were friends. It still just blew my mind when I stopped to think about how amazing and crazy my life had turned out. I wouldn't have it any other way though. "What's up bruuuutheeers??" JC said, once he and Kian stopped arguing. "Why are you guys in such a good mood?" Sam asked, turning to look back at them. "You do know where we're going, right?" "Yes Ham, I know. Kian doesn't. Fucking idiot." "Hey!" Kian replied, his mouth falling open in indignation. "You're a fucky mudgy idiot," he said, punching JC in the shoulder. "Owwahhh," JC yelled, rubbing his arm. "Don't call me an idiot, idiot," Kian said, laughing again. "Whatever. That's why Crosby Crockpot is driving us to the Queen Mary and you didn't even have the sense to ask where they wanted to go," JC replied, tilting his head from side to side. "OH HELL NO!" Kian yelled. "PULL OVER CROCKPOT. LET ME OUT." I laughed at how scared his face looked in the rearview, but obviously kept driving. "What's wrong? Is wittle kian scawerd? Is he scawerd of the big bad ghosty wosties?" JC taunted him. "How do you guys rope me into these things? I should've asked. You're right. I am an idiot," Kian said, sinking back into the seat and crossing his arms. "Fine. I'll go. But I'm going to enjoy it and you can't make me." Then he punched JC in the arm again, for good measure. This was followed by another semi fight between those two while Sam and I went over the night's agenda.
