"What do you mean WE are going to his concert?" I ask emphasizing the WE that got me worried.
"WE ARE! I wanted to buy a ticket just for me 'cause I didn't have a lot of money to spend but when I told my dad he said he would be happier and more relaxed if I went wth a friend since he doesn't trust me alone very much" She said and I could see the smile on her face.
It wasn't strange that Laura's dad didn't trust her. Or at least it didnt appear strange to me. Laura is a great person, she is a loyal and caring friend, but she is also a complete dissaster when it comes to life and love ... mostly love since it is what gets her in trouble most of the time. It was since she got her first kiss at 15 that she snicked out of the house without her poor dad knowing, of course. Her mum had passed away when she was little so her dad had always had a debility for her, letting her get away with almost everything. She knew this so she used it for her benefit. It's not the first time we don't hear from her in days because she has "felt in love" with a new guy she met at the café or in a shop. I love her and I want her to have fun, but she doesn't know them, she trusts too much on people and doesn't think twice. I envy her sometimes, but she is just too much to handle.
"Laura, listen, how am I going to go to his concert? I don't know any of his songs and I don't know if I got to work when-" I got cut.
"You don't, it's next Saturday. You and me, 22.00, harry freaking styles. No discussion." She says with a firm voice.
"But Lau-" I get cut again.
"No. Nononono. I don't wanna hear it. We are going and you are going to love it. I'm sure!" What can I say? I could use a little distraction. And I love music so what could go wrong?
"Okay, I'll go."
"Yaaaaaaaaaas bitch!" She screams through the phone almost making me drop it.
"But listen, tell me how much it was, I want to pay for the ticket" That's the least I could do. I mean, those tickets must be pretty expensive.
"Don't worry about it, dad said it was my birthday present" She says with confidence.
"Laura your birthday was in August, it's November" I try to say but the line goes off. Did she hang up? This bitch. Well I guess I'm going to a concert on Saturday.
"Excuse me?" A voice gets me out of my thoughts. A costumer.
"Oh, hi, hello. What can I do for you?" I look up from my phone and see a tall guy with his brown hair up in a bun and a three-day-old-beard. His features were pointed and his fine protruding nose didn't make him less attractive. He must be 27 maybe, but don't pay much attention to what I say because I'm quite bad at guessing people's age. He carries a bag in which I assumed was a guitar inside its cage hanging from his right shoulder by a strap.
"Hello, I was wondering if I could have two of those rings you have displayed at the shop window?" He asks pointing at them.
"Sure" I say walking to the shop window and picking up the box in which all of them are.
"Which ones do you want to try?"
The rings were wide and gold. Each one of them had a big letter. The letter was visible on your fingers, so if you had imaginations and money, you could write a five letter word in each of your hands. I found them cute. But expensive. But now that I think about it, I probably couldn't afford almost anything in this shop.
