Bel's POV:

It's been several weeks since I started traveling with Klaus. Honestly, I'm having the time of my life. Despite what you might think, the Original Hybrid does have a sense of humor and a soft side. It just depends on who's around. We've gotten quite close though.

He's told me about his family and his thousand years of life. I've told him about my horrific childhood. He let me in on the secret about his mother. He's scared to tell his siblings because of how they'll react. He just doesn't want to lose them. I feel for him.

I wish I had more than one person in my life before him and Bekah that actually cared if I lived or died. He even apologized for killing Jenna as punishment for Damon Salvatore intervening with the ritual.

Honestly, Jenna might not have been the worst person in the world and maybe I did count her as one of my closer relatives, but we were never that close. Right now we're in the woods of Portland in the middle of the night when Klaus gets a call from none other than Stefan Salvatore.

"Portland is fantastic once you get over the whiney music and healthy looking people. It's literally breeding ground for werewolves." Klaus says when he answers the phone. Stefan says something and Klaus's face changes instantly. "What did you say to me?" He asks.

Stefan explains what he said further. "Well, first, I want you to explain to me exactly what happened." He says. He turns to me, nodding towards the car. I nod, understanding. Must be personal. I walk over to the black SUV and get into the passenger seat.

What could Stefan have told him to make him react like this? Must be big. A few minutes later I see Klaus walk over to one of his most trusted hybrids, Tony. After they talk he walks over to me. "How would you feel about going to homecoming?" He asks, getting into the car.

"Never been, might be fun, why?" "We're going back to Mystic Falls. It seems your sister daggered Mikael." My eyes widen. "You do realize there's a high probability that they're bating you, right?" I ask as we start to drive off.

"Of course, but if it's true then I want to see his rotting corpse for myself. I nod. "So we go to Mystic Falls and proceed with caution. I have no doubt in my mind that that Elena and her henchmen are planning something devious." "Then we're in agreement love." I grin.

Time to go back to the hellhole known as Mystic Falls. The travel is brutal, but finally we're back in virginia. Just in time for homecoming in fact. I groan as we pull up outside my apartment. "Why couldn't we have gotten here tomorrow?" I ask.

"Oh come on love. Don't you want to go to homecoming?" "Not particularly." "And why's that?" I roll my eyes. "Truth is I've never been to a dance." His eyes widen. "What? How come you've never been to a dance?"

"Never been asked. Elena made sure guys stayed away from me in school. Never got asked and decided that I didn't want to be embarrassed by showing up without a date." "Well, then, Miss Jezebel Gilbert, would you accompany me tonight too homecoming?" He asks, grinning widely.

I smile. "Why of course Mr. Mikaelson. It would be a pleasure." I say, curtsying. He laughs. Then I realize something. "I don't have a dress." "Don't worry love. We'll get that sorted." He tells me. I nod, curious.

"Go on, there's someone waiting at your apartment to do your hair and makeup for tonight. I'll pick you up at 6." He tells me. I grin. "Until then." I tell him, getting out of the SUV. I stretch before going inside. He's right. There is a team of 4 people, two guys, two girls, waiting for me.

They immediately escort me to my bathroom and sit me down in front of my mirror which has copious amounts of different products on the counter top. They set to work immediately. Curling my naturally wavy hair and applying makeup to my pale skin. I sit in this chair for hours.

We started around two and by the time they finish it's already five. I quickly thank them before they pack of their things and leave. I go into my living room and there's a box on the table. Grinning I walk over to it and open it. Inside is a beautiful black dress.

It's revealing, but covered enough to where I'll be comfortable in it

It's revealing, but covered enough to where I'll be comfortable in it. Nik did perfectly. I race back to my room and quickly change into the dress, making sure not to mess anything up in the process. By the time I'm dressed it's 5:59.

When the clock changes to 6 there's a knock on my door. Grinning I walk over to the door and open it. Nik is standing there in a suit, smiling at me. A single red rose is in his hands. Something flashes through his eyes. "You look exquisite love." He breaths. I blush.

"Why thank you." I say, taking the rose and putting it in a mason jar. Once that's done I walk back to the front door where Nik is still waiting. When I approach he extends his arm and I loop my own through it.

He escorts me to his car and opens my door like a proper gentleman before speeding around to the drivers side and getting in himself. We start driving, but I notice we're not going to the high school. "So, um, where are we going?" I ask.

"Oh, didn't you hear? The gym was flooded to Tyler Lockwood graciously offered the throw a party at his house." I raise my eyebrows. "Oh really? And did Tyler saying yes have anything to do with that little sire bond?" He grins. "Perhaps." I laugh. "You are truly something else."

He just keeps grinning. Soon we're pulling up the Lockwood Mansion. The party is in full swing. Klaus gets my door and we walk arm in arm to the party. "So, are these the other hybrids?" I ask, gesturing around. "Of course. It's my father's wake, have to have all my closest friends here."

"Wake? So who did you compel to flood the gym?" I ask. He smiles sheepishly. "I have no idea what you mean love." "Uh huh, sure." "It's true." I just roll my eyes as we continue on into the party.

We walk up to the stage and as soon as the song stops Klaus lets go of my arm and run up onto it. "Good evening everybody!" He calls. Everyone cheers. "I wanna thank you all for being here with me to celebrate." He says. They cheer again.

I see him make eye contact with someone, but I can't tell who it is. "It's been a long time coming." They cheer again as he leaves the stage and walks over to me, grabbing my arm again. "Come on love, let's go great the guests." I smirk and allow him to lead me through the crowd.
