Bel's POV:

As I enter the town of Music Falls I can't help but scowl. This place has done nothing by reject me from the moment I was born. I hate it here. I hate it with a passion. The only light in this place is my brother, Jeremy. You would think I would be closer to my twin, but no, I'm not.

In all actuality we're not really twins. We thought we were until I received a phone call from Jeremy confirming what I assumed was true from the start. Elena is adopted, and so am I. Ever since I found out about me being adopted I've been looking for my birth parents with no luck.

Along the way I made a friend. A girl named Hayley Marhsall. From her I learned about the supernatural and also learned I was part of it. I'm a witch you see. A powerful one if the few witches I have come across can be trusted.

But, in light of my Aunt Jenna's death and my senior year approaching, along with Jeremy's insistence that I return for at least the year, I'm back in my hometown. Yippy. It's not long until I pull up to my childhood home.

The place, second to only the high school, where I felt like an outsider the most. When I park I get out and head up the front porch steps, opening the door and walking in. They should really lock this thing. "Hello?" I call into the house.

I know for a fact that at least one of my siblings should be home. I hear footsteps at the top of the stairs. I look up and show a rare, genuine smile. "Bel?" Jeremy asks, looking as if he's looking at a ghost. "Of course, now come down here." I tell him. He laughs and bounds down the stairs.

He engulfs me in the biggest hug I've ever received when he reaches me. "I didn't know you were coming in tonight. You just missed Elena. She's doing Senior Prank Night at the school." I raise my eyebrows. "Elena? Doing Senior Prank Night? Did Caroline force her?" I ask.

He laughs and nods. "Well, I guess if it's Senior Prank Night then I must make an appearance. I'll be home in a bit and we can catch up. I have so much to tell you." He grins. "I'm looking forward to it." I hug him one last time before heading back out to my car.

The drive to the school is short and soon I'm pulling into the parking lot. I get out and walk inside. It's eerily quiet. At least the people I plan to graduate with aren't total idiots. They took into account that too much noise would alert people of their presence.

I walk through the halls, my heels clicking as I go. I look down a hallways and smirk when I spot Tyler Lockwood giving orders to some other kids to cover the faculty toilets with shrink wrap. Then I see her. My, not so, twin sister. Elena. I walk up to her.

"Bel?" She asks when she spots me, her eyes going wide. Let me explain why. I left end of Sophomore year, not being able to handle staying in a town that was always going to fight against me. Back then I had shorter than shoulder length hair, unsightly acne, and braces.

Well, a little over a year later and I have to say, I'm not too bad looking. "Hey Lena. How've you been?" I ask. "What are you doing here?" She asks harshly, walking closer to me. I cross my arms and put on a false offended look. "What? Not happy to see me? Come on, I'm your twin."

"We're not twins." She snaps. "No, we're not. Thank God." I smirk. She bumps her shoulder against mine as she goes to walk past me. That is until she stumbles back and hits me. I whip around annoyed. "Did you forget how to walk?" I ask. Then I see him.

A very handsome man standing in front of us. "There's my girl." He tells her, his English accent coming out. "Klaus." She whispers. My eyes widen. So this is the infamous Original Hybrid. He then looks at me and his eyes widen. "Lydia?" I roll my eyes.

"No, wrong doppelgänger, sorry." I smirk. "What? Bel how do you know about doppelgängers?" Elena asks shocked. "Annabel?" He asks again. "Keep guessing, you're nearly there." I taunt. He smirks at my comment. "Who are you love?" He finally asks.

"Jezebel Gilbert. Pleasure to meet you Klaus, I've heard stories." I say. He just grins at that before turning back to Elena. "You're supposed to be dead. Now what are we going to do about that?" He grabs her arm roughly. "Would you like to accompany us?" He asks me. I smirk.

"Sure. I have nothing better to do." I say, following them down the hall. "The point of breaking the curse and becoming a hybrid was to make more hybrid. I haven't been able to do that and I'm think it has something to do with the fact that you're still breathing." Klaus snarls at Elena.

"Klaus, if you're gonna kill me just do it." Elena tells him. "Not until I'm sure. I do have ways of making you suffer." He tells her, pushing the door open to the gym. "Attention seniors. You have officially been busted. Prank night is over. Head on home." He says in a horrific America accent.

I roll my eyes as everyone groans and starts to leave the gym. "You need to work on your accent buddy. It's not your song suit." I tell him. He smirks at me. "You are a peculiar one Jezebel Gilbert." "Please, call me Bel, everyone does." He nods, still smirking.

He then spots two kids across the room. Chad and Dana I believe. "You two, I remember you." He says. "I'm sorry, who are you?" Dana asks. "Oh don't worry, I wasn't in my right head last time we met. Lift your foot up, please, Dana." Klaus compels.

She does as asked, or compelled. He then turns to Chad. "If she drops her foot Chad, I want you to beat her to death." I roll my eyes. "Seriously? What's with the theatrics?" I ask, crossing my arms. "Don't Klaus. You don't have to hurt anybody." Elena snaps.

"Oh come on love, of course I do." I think I'm starting to like this guy.
