Le Chapter Two

You and Hero have been wandering for awhile now. All you've collected is sand, sticks, cactus, and more sand. Makes sense for a desert biome, you guess. As you are wandering, you find the entrance to a cave.

"Hero, look!" You point to the cave. Hero stops beside you and takes a look at the cave.

"Very nice," He says dismissively. "Let's... not go in there right now. It could be dangerous,"

"Pweeease?" You give him puppy dog eyes. Hero sighs and rolls his eyes.

"Fine, but only for a few minutes," He says.

"Yay!" You shout, running directly into the cave entrance.

The cave goes down for a while before opening up into a large cavern full of different ores. Many other, smaller caves branch off. You see some light shining from one of the tunnels and you head straight for it.

"Y/N, slow down!" Hero shouts after you. You slow down for a moment, only to keep running down the cave. At the end of the cave a large lava pool illuminates the cavern. There are diamonds on the other side.

"Babe, look!" You point to the diamond ore.

"Oh, wow, baby! Good eyes," He replies.

"I'm gonna go get them," You say, laying blocks down over the lava.

"Let me teleport you, it's safer,"

"I've got it," You reply as you make your bridge. You reach the other side of the lava pool. You mine the diamonds and place them in your inventory. "I did it!"

"Good job, baby! Now come back." You slowly make your way back over the bridge. Over your shoulder, you see some wooden planks sticking out the side of the stone.

"Did you place those there?" You ask.

"Uh, no," Hero replies, furrowing his brows in confusion. You make your way over to the planks and dig out a few blocks, revealing some tunnels lined with wooden planks. There are rails and minecarts on the ground and cobwebs on the ceiling.

"What's this?"

"Oh, it's a mineshaft," Hero responds.

"Oh, huh," You wander into the shaft, placing torches as you go. Hero follows close behind. "Who built this?"

"I don't know. Someone who's been gone a long time," He pauses, "Wait here, i'll be right back,"

"Okay, have fun," You reply as Hero turns and leaves the mineshaft. You wander further into the mineshaft as soon as he's out of sight. You weren't really looking where you were going and suddenly fall into a dropoff in the cave. Something sticky wraps around you, preventing you from moving. Stuck in a cluster of cobwebs, you begin to panic. A spider hisses near you. Through the dark you can barely make out the figure of a spider, a little smaller than usual. You thrash around in the cobweb, trying to free yourself from their grasp. The spider jumps and bites you, poisoning you. You scream from the pain before pulling out your sword and repeatedly striking the spider as you are losing health. The cobwebs fall apart, allowing you to move freely.

"Y/N!" Hero shouts from above you and suddenly, you are out of there. You sigh and roll your eyes, taking a bite of some stake. The poison wears off.

"You need to be more careful," Hero says.

"I had it handled," You mutter.
