"Because you are the next Avatar."

Haruka sits cross legged, taken aback at the statement. "M-me? I-I'm the next A-Avatar?" Korra nods, satisfied with the young girl's reaction, just as she had expected. "There's n-no way... You even told me yourself. You're from another universe which does not make sense how you are here..." she trails off.

How did Korra get here anyway? I still need to ask her why she's blue.

"I'm here because the higher ups decided that my universe doesn't need the Avatar anymore. The last Avatar had managed to create eternal peace within that world which is really unbelievable. I still have no idea how he did that and every time I ask him, he always answer with, 'because I listened to my teachers.' What a load of bull-"

Korra stops mid-sentence, staring at Haruka if she had noticed her 'almost' slip up. When she didn't, Korra continues, "W-what a load of l-lies. Hahaha..." she laughs off awkwardly, scratching the back of her head.

"You've spoken to him? But you said that once an Avatar dies, a new one is born... so how have you managed to speak with him if he's dead and that I'm the new avatar?" Haruka asks, confusion laced in her voice.

"You're really slow, aren't you?" Haruka glares at her and pouts, suddenly conscious at how dumb she feels talking with Korra.

"I'm not slow, you're just talking about stuff I haven't learnt yet. My parents told me that I'm pretty smart for a four-year-old." Korra laughed at her for her cuteness.

"Your parents were right about that; you are really smart considering your age. When I was four, I was breaking down walls, yelling, 'I'm the Avatar and you gotta deal with it!'... so, I would say that I was a whole lot worse than you." Korra notices Haruka staring at her hands, she looks at it to inspect but nothing was there. Korra gets an idea as to why Haruka stares at her hands. "You're still wondering why I'm blue, aren't you?" She asks. Haruka nods her head, awaiting her answer.

"Well... I was a past Avatar..." Korra trails off in hoping that she didn't have to explain further. Haruka bites her lip, trying to understand until realisation hit her.

"You're dead?"

Korra laughs loudly, annoying Haruka how Korra wasn't taking this topic seriously. Korra notices how annoyed Haruka is and replies, "yeah, not a good story to tell the kids on how I died," she laughs nervously.

"I died while driving on the racetrack. You see, my girlfriend's Dad was this famous mechanic that created cars and she pretty much took over the mechanic business. So, I drove there whenever I felt like it. Anyways, I was driving on the racetrack and I didn't even notice it. A bomb under the seat of the car. Someone put it there and I found out later that is was someone who discriminated against LGBT people. They were obviously against the idea of the Avatar being a lesbian. Oh, how much I wanted to come back from the dead to comfort Asami. She didn't deserve that at all," Korra explains with a deep sigh, tears threatening to spill any minute. Haruka once again hugs Korra, trying to comfort the trembling woman.

"It's okay. Asami would've known how much you loved her." Korra sniffs and sends Haruka a grateful look, even if she didn't understand some of the story. The two sit in silence, enjoying each other's company.

"So, what now?" Haruka looks up at Korra who is smiling, moving on from the past conversation.

"You train." Korra stands up with her hands on her waist. Haruka stands up as well, jumping up and down in excitement.

"Yeah! Let's do this!" Korra pauses and tilts her head to the side as if someone shorter was talking to her. Korra pouts, "Next time?... Dream taking too long? Ugh, fine." Korra sighs and looks to Haruka, "Sorry Kid, apparently your dream is taking too long. Your parents are starting to look worried but next time for sure, you'll begin your training!"

Disappointed that she couldn't start her training but she didn't want to worry her parents. Haruka gives a tiny nod to korra, "Until next time, Korra."

"Until next time, Haruka."

Haruka slightly opens her eyes, completely regretting it and groans as she brings her hands up to cover her eyes from the light. Haruka lets her hands fall and slowly let her eyes adjust to the light. Once they did, she sits up from her position and look around the room. She could see her mother's back, cooking something that smells delicious on the stove while she could hear the shower running in the bathroom.

Haruka yawns, "Hey Mama, what time is it?" Her mother turns to look at the child to see her hair all over her face and drool hanging from her chin.

"And here I was about to call an ambulance. You sure were asleep for a long time. I mean, you fell asleep at 10 and now it's 6pm. You okay?"

Haruka has never felt better before in her life. There was a feeling growing in her chest. After that talk with Korra, she felt this drive to prove that she could be an Avatar she could be proud of. An Avatar that could protect everyone in need and bring harmony to the world. She could become a hero. A Hero.

Haruka smiles widely up at her mother, "I feel like I can take on a whole entire army of Villains," showing off her imaginary muscles. Her mother gives a silent laugh and smiles down at her, returning back to the stove. Her father soon comes out, drying his wet brown hair with a towel. He sees Haruka awake and he heads straight for her.

"Haruka! You will never guess what happened today?" She tilts her head at her father, confused as to what he is going on about. "I was saved by Heroes today!" Haruka stunned at this fact.

"No way! Are you okay? You're not hurt anywhere?" She rushes closer to him, checking his face and body. She notices numerous scrapes on his hands and red marks on his arms.

"Psh, I'm fine. No need to worry. Death Arms was there, and he practically climbed up the building, saving all of the people there. Oh, and Backdraft was there, and your mother helped him with the fire." Haruka's jaw drops to the floor and stares at her mother by the stove.

Her mother blushes in embarrassment and replies, "I helped them a bit 'cause no Hero was there yet and I was worried about your father. I was extinguishing the fires and Backdraft told me to step away, but I didn't listen to him. By the end of it, I was scolded for my rash behaviour... Don't copy Mama, okay?"

She gave a loud, "yep," nodding her head. The family went to the dinner table and began to eat dinner after saying 'itadakimasu'. Haruka looks at her parents. She is so lucky to have her parents. She loves them so much that she would do anything to protect them.
