"Baby, you sure you okay?" I asked Bryson, grabbing a cover and laying it across his body to tuck him into my bed.

I'm still a little spook about the shooting that happened. I don't even like staying home alone by myself at night, so Bryson promised me he'll sleep at my crib from now on.

He ignored my question and shut his eyes.

I know he doesn't wanna be bothered right now. And I don't blame him. His grandmother is dead and I don't wanna be a burden. So I close my eyes and try to fall asleep.

Morning

"Baby." Bryson said, shaking me from out my sleep.

"Hmm?" I hummed, slightly opening my eyes to the bright morning sun that beamed through the open curtains.

"I'm bouta head out to get this money. Have a good day at school."

I sat up from the bed and let out a huge yawn. "Awww I don't want you to leave meeee." I poked out my bottom lip.

"I don't wan leave you either mama, but I got to."

"I know." I sighed.

"I put some money in yo account... After school go get you some sum nice from the mall or sum."

I poked my lip out again. "Awww" I whined. "You so sweet."

He placed a wet kiss on my forehead and glared his golds at me before walking out the door to get to working.

I let out another yawn and climbed out the bed to do my morning routine to get ready for school today.

I made a mental note to not say anything about his grandmother unless he brings it up. I know how it feels to lose people. I didn't wanna talk to him about it til he's ready. I used to be the same way when my parents died, I didn't wanna talk to anyone. Especially about my parents.

Once I arrived at school, I sat down at the seat I usually take. I always sit next to this guy named Tylee. He always lets me copy of his paper since this is my hardest class. The only reason why I'm here is because I have to pass Chem to pass my major.

Tylee gave me a head nod as I sat down beside him.

"Hey." I said, sitting all my books down before taking a seat.

"You look nice." He said, taking his eyes off his phone that his eyes were glued to before I sat down.

I did a small cheese and pulled out a piece of paper to copy down the notes that were on the board.

"You did your homework?" I asked Tylee as I'm still copying down the notes. I've been so busy and caught up with Bryson that I haven't made time to do my homework.

"Yeah, I gotchu." He said, pulling his homework out of his folder.

"Thanks."

The professor talked for a few minutes but everything sounded like him just babbling because My mind was in a completely different space. I couldn't get my mind off of Bryson. I just wanted to know what he was getting himself into.

Bryson is the type of person who acts out of impulse, and I feel like the death of his grandmother is gonna make him do some stupid shit.

I don't know what type of stupid shit, but I have a gut feeling that it will happen soon.

"Yo." Tylee said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Oh, I-I'm sorry." I said, snapping back into reality.
