Luz Pov
It's cold. The last time I visited the Boiling Isles, I could feel myself wrapped in the warmth of the island. Now it felt like every inch of the place was as cold as the Knee.I slowed my pace as I shivered slightly, hoping to run into Amity just like we planned the other day. The warmth of both my hoodie and jacket weren't enough to stop my teeth from clacking, not to mention my maroon scarf that was wrapped around my neck.
Reaching behind me, I pulled my hood over my head in hopes of protecting my ears from the cold.
"Luz! Oh there you are, I was beginning to worry." My eyes glanced up, only to be met with another pair of eyes that belonged to Amity. She was wearing a dark rock shirt from the band 'The Abominations' alongside with black ripped jeans.
I paused for a moment, noticing the temperature dropping more and more by the hour before hearing Amity subtly shiver.
"Sorry I'm late, the weather kinda slowed down my pace." I chuckled as I watched the Blight avert her gaze to the sky.
"Y-yeah. It's getting really cold. I haven't experienced the temperature drop this low since I was just a baby." The waver in the witch's voice caused an alarm to set off in my head, noticing that she wasn't wearing any kind of jacket.
I glanced up at the witch who looked like she was expecting me to say something, before I hesitantly unzipped my jacket and stepped closer towards her.
"Luz? What are you-" her question was cut short as I wrapped the leather jacket around her, gesturing for the Blight to slip her arms through.
There was a brief moment of silence as a light shade of pink appeared on Amity's face. Though it was quick to disappear when she stepped back.
"It's okay, Luz. You need it more than I do."
I furrowed my eyebrows slightly before raising one up higher than the other, releasing a cold laugh.
"C'mon Amity. I've literally got another hoodie on, take it."I took a step closer towards Amity, closing the gap that she made earlier. Wrapping the jacket around the witch once more, she let out a sigh. I couldn't tell whether it was a sigh caused from the cold weather, or if it was because she gave in.
Regardless, she slipped her arms through the arm-holes before raising her shoulder's slightly. I took this as my cue to also unwrap the scarf from my neck.
I shuddered slightly by the contact of the cool wind hitting my skin, though I did my best to cover it up.
I raised my shoulders in an attempt to cover my exposed neck from the cool wind, before reverting my gaze back to the witch.
She was adjusting my jacket on herself, eyeing all its features before zipping it up. I caught myself staring, noticing just how well the jacket not suited not only her outfit, but just her in general.
"You okay there Luz?" I was quickly snapped out of my trance.
"Y-yeah! Just peachy!" I lightly chuckled, but it came to an end quickly after I felt a sudden pause in my breathing.Quickly brushing off the strange feeling, I raised my arms to gently wrap the scarf around Amity's neck, being cautious so that my cold hands didn't touch her skin.
This time, she didn't say anything. She didn't protest against my actions and she didn't even look at the scarf. Instead, I found her staring at me as a very light shade of pink appeared on the young Blight's face.
A slight wave of panic started rising from my chest as I realised that we were only inches away from each other.
Assuming that she was just uncomfortable from how close we were, I started hesitantly sputtering.
"Oh, sorry." I took a step back from the witch before I started rubbing the back of my neck.
