Skeppy was bored of his room already.

"UGHSIDUHSDUADGHHASA can we PLEASE go out again? We've been in here for like a whole nother era."

Badboyhalo blinked at him. "You are very impatient."

"Yeah I know." Skeppy rolled his eyes. "Can I see the other guys again? I promise not to faint."

"Well if you are more comfortable now then I do not see why not." He hopped off the bed.

"YESSSS!" Skeppy leapt in the air and followed Bad back through the sky palace.

The sun had warmed the marble under their feet and it was a very serene place to walk. The ornamental fringe on Bad's clothing and Skeppy's earrings and necklace jingled slightly as they moved.

Skeppy wasn't paying much attention, as he was practically quivering with excitement at that thought of seeing the other gods again. All he understood the first time was that there were five besides him and Bad, seven total, and one of them was floating. Dream, the one with the mask. Then there was that one who was young like Skeppy, what was his name? A6d.
The rest Skeppy didn't remember.

Bad paused again outside the pavilion and looked at Skeppy one last time.
Skeppy tried to look determined and Bad led him through, under the arch and back into the open air space.

But this time it was nearly empty.

There was one god sitting on the ground, the one with gray skin like Bad and colorful clothes. He was by himself except for the long-eared cat in his lap, which he was petting.

The cat watched them approach with vigilant eyes, a6d, on the other hand, hardly bothered to look up.

"The others went out."

Bad stepped up onto the pavilion. "Why did you not join them?"

"Didn't feel like it."

Skeppy didn't know if he should say anything, so he followed behind Bad's lead. When Bad plopped himself down next to a6d on the floor, Skeppy slowly did the same. He looked at the cat curiously.

"They were bored?" Bad asked a6d.

"Like always." A6d's voice was musical and nice to listen to.

Bad picked one of the pink flowers nestled in a6d's hair. "Will you play something for me?"

A6d smiled softly. "Always asking for music. What do you want to hear?"

While they were talking Skeppy slowly scooted closer to the cat and tried to pet it. It bat his hand and moved away, giving him a feline frown.

"What's your cat's name?" Skeppy interrupted.

A6d paused. "Lethe," he said. "He's temperamental."

"Lethe." Skeppy tried the name. The cat ignored him and rubbed its head on a6d for more petting.

A6d obliged and his piercing eyes studied Skeppy.

"Skeppy, this is a6d," Bad said. "A6d, be nice to Skeppy."

"Grrrrrr."

Skeppy froze. A6d laughed; the sound was full of mirth.

Skeppy was never one to stay speechless for long. "Grrrrrr back."

A6d chuckled in approval and returned his gaze to Lethe, who came back to his lap and purred as a6d scratched his neck. A6d's sleeves were wide and sunset orange; all of his clothing was colorful, it fit his lilting voice but not quite his personality.

"You're strange, Skeppy."

Skeppy leaned forward, eager to hear more. "What are you the god of?"

Gentle sounds of a harp or lute floated on a soft breeze that stirred Skeppy's hair and swept up the petals around a6d.
"I'm the god of music and festival," he said. "And insomnia, but that's less official."

Skeppy noticed he had darker bags under his eyes and he held himself in a tired way.

Do gods really need sleep?

A6d continued, "I'm not very important or powerful."

"Hey muffinhead," Bad cut in, "you are just as important as me and everyone else."

A6d shook his head disbelievingly.

"Wait, how powerful are you, Bad?" Skeppy asked.

"The most," a6d answered.

"That is not true." Bad looked at the ground.

"Don't be modest; Dream doesn't believe it, to be sure, but-" he told Skeppy- "Bad is the oldest. Most of us respect him as the leader."
He rolled his eyes, "But not everyone listens."

Lethe stepped out from a6d's lap and strolled away off the dais.

"So you don't, like, control us?" Skeppy asked Badboyhalo.

"No, I keep balance. Much of my time I spend on the mortals' souls."

Skeppy shivered.
"What do you mean?" It sounded like a sinister statement.

"He's the God of Karma," a6d answered, his eyes lingering on where Lethe disappeared.
"He punishes mortals that do wrong and disobey us, and rewards the good, heroic ones."

A6d's music on the breeze dwindled to a stop. "The others will probably be back soon."

"I do not exactly control things, more like adjust them," Bad told Skeppy. "The thinking mortals and gods have free will."

"Yeah-" a6d stretched- "there's often bickering."

"Where did the others go?" Skeppy asked suddenly.

"Down to earth, the mortal realm," a6d answered casually.

"Can I go?" Skeppy poked Bad. "Please?"

"No, I will take you there later."

Skeppy groaned. "But it's boring here."

A6d scoffed.

"Not for long," he said.

"Oh, welcome back!" Bad stood and greeted the three returning gods.
