"I heard George saying you might be coming around again this Christmas break." Ginny said. "Is it true."
"I'm not sure. I want to but-" I started
"But you're worried what Draco will do." She said. I nodded. I knew Draco would tell our parents: he was the favourite anyways so they'd give me a punishment, especially for hanging around with the Weasleys. "Why don't you say you're going to Pansys?"
"That's a good idea but I'll have to ask Pansy if she'll let me say that I am and just agree with it." I said as I got up out of my chair in the great hall and walked over to the Syltherin table.
"Pansy," I whispered. She was sat near Draco so I wanted to take her some place else. She looked at me and I motioned for her to follow me as I walked away. She did so.
"Malfoy?" She said.
"I need your help." I said and she gave me a dirty look.
"Let me have a guess? Y/N Malfoy wants to spend Christmas break with the Weasleys again?" She said with a little grin on her face. Dam, who did she know.
I looked down at the ground, "I just need you to say that I was with you all break if anyone asks?" I said as I tilted my head back up.
"Knew it." She said as she turned her back and began walking back to the hall.
"Pansy, please!" I shouted.
"What's in it for me?"
"Anything you want!"
"Fine. I will. And I'll think about what I want." She said as she walked off back to the hall. And a second later I came running in and sat down by Ginny and Hermoine.
"She said yes!!" I shouted and everyone cheered.
"Hermoine, are you coming too?" Ginny asked.
"I think I can, but id like to spend it with my family Aswell." Hermoine said and frowned. I was just relying on Pansy not to blow this for me. I didn't like spending Christmas at home. I was alone most of the time.
"Oh yeah, I was going to ask you all," I said to everyone. "I heard the Triwizard Tournaments are coming up, are any of you doing it?"
"Me and Fred are going to enter."
"You do know that some may die during the tournament?" I said.
"oh well, you wouldn't stand a chance." Fred said and stuck his tongue out at me.
"Well I'm not entering." I stuck my tongue back out at him.
Later that evening we were all called to the hall because Dumbledore wanted to make an announcement about the Tournament. I wasn't listening to him half of the time. I just heard George and Fred half way through whisper, "Wicked," and I have to say I tried to hold back my laughter.
"Still not going to enter?" Fred leaned over and whispered into my ear and I looked him dead in the eye and he just smiled and looked away. But I saw, slowly, Fred and Georges face bang to change, Dumbledore had lead them on too fast.
"However, you have to be above the age of seventeen to enter due to the fact that this tournament will be too much for some of those to handle." Everyone began to shout because they wanted to do it, honestly, I was considering it but now I can't due to the fact I am one year younger than the twins and they were almost 17.
"Thats rubbish!" I stood up and shouted and the twins joined in. "Rubbish!" we chanted and everyone seemed to join in and we all started laughing.
"Thanks, darling." Fred said.
"Yeah, thanks, Y/N." George repeated.
I knew Fred and George were anxious to enter and I wanted them to, but i'm happy they weren't able to, I didn't want them to get hurt. Not long after Dumbledore had stopped talking, someone stood up and shouted:
"Theres something in the sky!" everyone rushed over to the window and looked out, there were flying carriages in the sky.
"Calm down, calm down." Dumbledore said to settle us down. "Beauxbatons Academy of Magic has arrived," he said as we all went to sit back down.
"Look! In the water!" Someone else yelled and yet again, we ran over to the window to see what it was. There was a tiny little boat, rather small, I've never seen anything like it, there was only one person stood on it as we saw. yet, I spoke to soon, a humongous ship emerged out from under the water. That must be the Durmstrang Institute. We all sat down as the schools were about to enter.
First, the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic entered. They all were wearing blue dresses as they made a scene. They made funny little noises as they danced along the pathway up to the front. Fred couldn't take his eyes off of them, all the boys couldn't: their mouths were wide open and they're eyes were bigger than ever.
"Fred?" I said giving him a dirty look.
"What, Y/N?" he said still eyeing the girls.
"You're practically drooling, sweaty." I whispered.
"What?" he said as he whipped his mouth and the looked at me and gave me a little laugh. "very funny, darling."
Once all the girls had finished their little dance routine, a strange very tall woman walked through the door and to the front of the hall to meet the others, the was like a giant. Everyone gave a round of applause -well, I mean everyone, mainly the boys- and the whole school fell silent as the lights began to shake. We all heard thumping noises and people chanting, the whole school began to shake and then the doors Burst open. It was Durmstrang and their boys. They all came marching in, stomping their feet.
"No way!" Hermoine gasped.
"what?" I said.
"Thats Viktor Krum!" Ginny shouted. All of the girls adored him, he was the seeker of Bulgarian National Quidditch team. Immediately all the girls searched for their Quill to ask if he could sign something they own. I possibly think I was the only girl there who wasn't falling at his knees.
Y/N/N?" Fred leaned over into my ear.
"What?" I said
"You're practically drooling, love." He said as he gave me that cute look that he does when he's trying to be funny.
"haha, cute." I said. "I don't understand what people see in him." I said to him and he smiled a lot harder. I looked over at every single girl staring at him, including Ginny and Hermoine.
Once Durmstrang had finished making a racket, Dumbledore asked for silence and he stated,
"You have the next twenty four hours to place your name into the Goblet of fire." He said as he motioned towards the middle of the hall and out from underneath the ground arose a large cauldron with a big blue flame firing out of it. "Once you're name is placed into the fire, you will not be able to retrieve it or take it back so make sure you are willing to put yourself to the test as you will not be able to pull out if you are the chosen one. I will be placing an age line around the fire so you those of you who will try to put your name into it will not succeed, so I recommend not even trying." Everyone gasped as we were all amazed by the sight. After a minute or so, Dumbledore sent the schools to stay somewhere in the castle and then we went back to the Gryffindor common room.
