Viscount's POV}

"Mother, can I go play with the other children?"
mother looked down at me, she shook her head, "no my darling, this won't be long."

It was boring, I hated coming along to my fathers business meetings, especially the ones where there's a large land to play on.

"I'm gonna get you Y/N!"
"Wouldn't count on it!"

Looking around, I saw two girls running around, completely in their own world. My eyes landed on one of them, I couldn't look away, everything was in slow motion, seeing her smile as she ran, her laugh seemed to echo, it was as if I was-

"Viscount, darling?" I looked back to my mother, she had gotten up from her seat, "it's time for us to go." I looked back to the girls, pointing at the one who had caught my eye, I asked, "who's that girl?"

"It's impolite to point!" I apologized softly, mother always gets upset when I don't act like a "gentleman" i wouldn't say I was a rough kid, far from it actually.

"That girl is named Y/N L/N, and she is the daughter of F/N." I looked at her in confusion, she sighed and wrapped her arm around my shoulder, as she kneeled down to my level.

"Her father owns most of these houses, and even more in other towns. I may add, he's also your fathers friend, why?"

I didn't answer her, I just went back to staring at her, I couldn't help but notice this one small habit she would make, her nose would scrunch up when she got annoyed, and in this case happened a lot.

I wasn't able to talk to her, she didn't even notice my existence, sulking I entered the carriage, my eyes never left her, even as the carriage began to pull away.

"Who is he staring at?" My grandmother spoke,
"Y/N L/N, seems like he's grown a liking to her."
I didn't correct my mother, because what she had said was the truth.

"Could it be? Is he in love?"
"He is too young to be in love!"
My mother smiled as if it was impossible, I just looked at the two, "I didn't know love had an age limit."

They both stared at me in confusion, I was gonna make sure that she would be mine, I'm sure I wouldn't mess this up, right?

{Present day
Viscount's POV}

"Let me remind you, this isn't a date, I just need your help to gather some things, and usually, the women at the market places love to give out discounts to those who look like they are in relationships." Looking at Enola, she seemed to have her mind set straight at this idea.

I couldn't help but smile, ever since meeting her, I was able to be myself, I wasn't afraid of messing up my words, or looking like an idiot, even though she says otherwise.

"I'm so happy to know that I'm being used to get you discounts." She laughed at this, grabbing my arm, I could feel my face heat up, I didn't mind pretending to be her love, it felt.....okay.

"What a handsome boy, is he your husband?"
I cringed at the word 'husband' due to the fact that mother always says, "one day you'll get married, and you must find a woman good enough for you, to have you as a husband."

"No, were too young, he is my suitor though."
I smiled in return, the sales lady did a little giggle and began to pack up Enola's things. I looked around, I noticed Ruthie, Y/N's best friend, she's just standing there, looking all excited.

Suddenly something caught my eye, and there she was, running to her best friend, excited, for some reason I couldn't look away, I was sure that I had lost feelings for her altogether, but here I am once again, completely in awe of her.

"Are you okay?" Enola's voice had ripped me out from my intense staring, "yeah, I just...I think we should head home soon, mother will be upset if I'm not there for evening tea." She smiled and gave a slight nod.

I could tell she felt a bit upset about this, we began to walk home together, my mind was swirling with the thought of Y/N, I just couldn't help myself. Everything about her was perfect in my eyes, her hair, her laugh, even her wicked words that she throws at Enola and I, for some reason it gets me in a good mood, due to the fact that we hadn't spoke in a year.

"I wonder what they were all excited about." Enola had once again cut off my thinking, I looked at her questioningly , she's never once cared about those two, let alone speak about them.
"This is a first."
"What?" She stopped in her tracks, slightly smiling, "you've never really cared about them, not even when they say rude remarks to us."

She shook her head, "I'm just wondering is all, they never jump for joy, they wouldn't be caught dead doing so, not in front of their mothers."
I shrugged, "maybe, they have a suitor."
I looked at her confused, "what do you mean by that?"

Enola laughed, "please, don't be so surprised, they are expected to be married, I wouldn't be shocked to find out that Y/N, is engaged." I shook my head, there was absolutely no way that was the reason.

"No, I know her, she wouldn't be jumping for joy."
This time, it was Enola who had looked at me, I couldn't tell what feeling it was.
