"And was he cute?" Ruthie set her tea cup down, eyes bugged out, I couldn't help but laugh.
"Very." I could tell she was on the edge of her seat, "well, go on! Tell me all about him." Ruthie was very impatient when it came to gossip.

"I told you everything already, what do you want me to do? Repeat myself?" I couldn't help but laugh, "wow..." looking outside the window of the dining hall, Ruthie gave out a small laugh.

"What?" Raising my eyebrows at her, she didn't say anything, "Ruthie?" Looking back my she grabbed her tea cup, sipping her last sip, her eyes set right onto mine.

"Well...I always assumed you, oh never mind. It's silly." She waved a hand across her face, "spit it out!" I was growing impatient, "I always assumed you and...well, I assumed Tewksbury and you would eventually come together."

I looked at her as if she had another head, "are you insane! Me and that, no! You assumed wrong." Ruthie shook her head, "it was just an assumption is all."

{Viscount's POV}

"Pass the ball, and I'll show you what a true athlete can do!" Enola ran to the other side, kicking the ball towards her, she had thrown herself to grab it.

"That's, 10 to 2 ? Wow you really are bad at this!" She joked, pushing the ball into my chest. "Haha, very funny, you do realize I had no time for such games. Unlike you, my family made me stay inside and do the most boring things a child could do."

She rolled her eyes, "My apologies your highness." She gave a very dramatic curtsy, "must you be cheeky." Without answering she began to walk off, I followed her.

It's been a couple of days, but the awkwardness between Enola and I had finally died down. I had no clue as to why it began, "did you hear?" She spoke after a few minutes of just walking in silence.

"Hear? Of what?" She turned around, walking backwards, she had this smug look. "The ever so brilliant Y/n has finally found a suitor." I stopped right on the tracks, "what?" A suitor? As in a person who might marry her?

Enola looked at me weirdly, "what is she to you?" I looked back up, her face completely changed to a smug look, to a rather upsetting one. "Enola what?-"
"Answer, what is she to you?" I shook my head, why was she asking such a bold question.

"She's just- I don't know."
"How could you possibly not know! I see the way you look at her, and for what? She's been nothing but terrible to you, to us!"
Her eyes began to tear up, she lost her focus and looked away, "I swear, it's as if you enjoy being picked on by her."

"Why are you upset? I cant help myself. I've always-"
"Don't." She shook her head at me, tears finally falling, "don't finish, I don't want to hear it."
We stood in complete silence, all I could hear were the crickets.

"You are just wasting your time." Looking back at her, she had wiped her tears away, "you should be with someone who actually loves you." I shook my head, "I guess I'll have to look for her." I began to walk off.

"You already have."
I turned around, she looked completely defeated, "who?"

"Me you idiot."
