Chapter three

"5,4,3,2,1....go!"

i took a deep breath than began to walk out. The crowd erupted in a cheer, and Jimmy stood up to meet me. I waved and smiled to the crowd before turning to Jimmy and extending my arms to give him a hug.

"So good to see you!" I said while hugging him.
I sat down on the couch giving the crowd my last wave.

"Welp, it's been a couple of years!" He laughed.

"Yes!"

"So last time I saw you Star Wars had just come out. But you've done so much since then!"

"Well I try to keep busy." I smiled.

"That's amazing, truly. Well I thought we should get to know you a little better now that your here."

"Alright." I let out a nervous chuckle.

"So i was talking to your mom..."

"Oh no." My face went dead serious, the crowd
laughed.

"And she told me about a certain crush you have."

"A crush? I don't have a crush." I thought to myself.

Who on earth could my mom be talking about?

"Oh?" I gave Jimmy a puzzled look.

"Do you not know who I'm talking about?"

I thought for a second, no one came to mind. Until...

"oh god please no." I almost said out loud but just barely held it in.

My face turned bright red, I was trying to conceal it, trying not to panic.

"She. Did. Not." i said forcing a laugh.

"She did! Should we tell everybody who it is?"

"I'd rather not, but only because you are a very dear friend of mine, go ahead."

It's not like I could just say no, he probably had his whole show based around this segment. And the amount of hate I would get would be almost unbearable. The live band started a drum role, they were pounding on those drums almost as fast as my heart was racing.

"It's Robert Irwin everybody!"

The crowd laughed, clapped, and gasped all at the same time. I buried my head in my hands.

"Okay okay! Well In my defense I haven't liked him since I was 12."

"Uh huh sure." Jimmy teased.

"But your mom did also tell us that you love the Irwin's, and hope to go to the zoo one day, is that true?" my face lit up.

"Oh yes! It's so beautiful there. And what they've done with wildlife conservation is just incredible. You know I grew up watching Terri and Steve's documentary's and it's something that really stuck with me throughout my life. it's showed me just how special wildlife conservation is."

The audience clapped at my statement.

"That really is amazing, y/n. So we have a little surprise for you."

Before i could even comprehend what Jimmy had just said he yelled "everybody please welcome to the stage, the Irwin's!"

My eyes widened, and a red tint covered my cheeks.

"Oh god." I whispered to myself, not loud enough for my mike to catch.

I saw Robert, Bindi, Chandler, and Terri come walking out in all khaki, my eyes immediately went to Robert. He was already looking at me, his cheeks red. The embarrassment I felt consumed my whole body. While they all went through and hugged Jimmy I was left not knowing what to do. I stood up looking down, brushed off my skirt-even though there was nothing to be brushed off. when I brought my head back up Robert was standing in front of me.
