One week later

Levi stood in the doorway of my room, watching me look over myself in the mirror, the same mirror I had looked into the night he and I met. I didn't understand why I didn't hate to be around him anymore. Since the night he came over for the first time, I felt entirely different about him. I wanted to be around him and I didn't think he was a douchebag, just a little misunderstood.

"Who's driving?" I asked.

"Me. I'm not drinking tonight." He said, looking down at his phone.

"Has... That guy... sent you the address yet?"

I seen a small smile flash across his face that made my chest feel sore. I'd only ever felt that when Jean and I used to be in love.

"Marco. And yes, that's what I just checked. It's 20 minutes away,"

He looked so good, I tried to keep myself from staring at him. He was wearing a red button down shirt that he left open with a plain black T shirt under, a pair of black jeans and the same black vans he wore every day. I didn't know when I picked up on that detail, but I did. His arms were on perfect display, they looked so strong.

I wondered if he was looking at me the same way I looked at him, and if his chest felt the same that mine did. I was wearing a plain black dress and matching (shoe type). My h/c hair fell in front of my face since I didn't feel like doing anything besides running a brush through it.

"We still have 10 minutes until we have to leave," I heard him say to himself. He walked in and sat down in the same place he sat the week before, it was like that was permanently his spot. I got butterflies thinking about how cute he looked that night and how that night seemed to affect both of our feelings. Something had changed in him.

He laid back on the bed, his legs still bent and touching the floor. the gold chain he was wearing rested against his neck over his adams apple. I felt heat rush to my cheeks and ears.

I sat next to him and pulled my phone out to pass time.

Hanji <3: Be safe please
Hanji <3: If you need anything call me
Hanji <3: And tell Levi's short ass to send the the location just in case

I giggled, Levi turned his head towards me.

"Hanji told me to tell you to send her the address," He jokingly rolled his eyes and half smiled.

"I will. We should get going though,"

When we got to the house, it was already packed with people I didn't know which made me anxious. A few people greeted Levi and gave me a small smile or a 'Hello." I linked my arm through Levi's and grabbed onto his bicep as we walked through the crowd of bodies in order to comfort myself. He tensed upon me touching him for a moment before relaxing. The music playing was upbeat and loud and sounded unfamiliar. We walked into the kitchen and I unlinked my arm from his, he seemed to almost frown at the loss of contact. A girl with short ginger hair and big brown eyes was walking closer to us, and Levi placed his hand on my side and pulled me closer to him. He grabbed some gummy worms from the bag on the island and held his hand out for me to take one.

"Thank you,"

He put the rest in his mouth and kept me close to him, causing my heart rate to speed up and that feeling to return. It felt like we were something more than friends for a minute.
