“Let all cats old enough to hunt in the shadows, gather beneath Shade Rock for a clan meeting.” HawkStar yowled, sitting before his clanmates, on the dark coloured rock. As he waited, the three returning cats sat around the foot of the rock, looking up at him, they looked very thin, it made his feel bad, wishing he wasn’t leader, He hated seeing his cats in pain or wounded, at that. As the cats gathered around, some muttered about the new cats joining them again could be heard, He snarled “Silence.” after that the muttering stopped and everyone went silent. He nodded then mewed “These three cat will be joining again, The curse of DirtFang has ended and you can trust them again. If I hear another cat talk anything but good to them, You and me will have problems, Well, ArcticCore, FrogLeap and RuneFall, Do you promise to follow the warrior code once again, Like you did moons ago, and protect and defend it, ever if your life is on the line?” He said, ArcticCore, the she-cat stood up and meowed loudly “I do.”, The other two said 'I do' Right after she did. HawkStar smiled and mewed “Welcome back to DarkClan, May StarClan lead your path.”
HawkStar leapt down from the rock and mewed “Meeting dismissed, Go to DustFall, to go on patrols, we don’t want LightClan or DreamClan thinking we are weak, Also DustFall send out a hunting patrol as well.” DustFall mewed roughly “Will do.” before continuing sending cats on patrols. HawkStar padded over to HIs brothers and mewed “Eat something, then go to MushroomBuzz for herbs and go hunting if you have time and energy.” The two toms nodded and padded to MushroomBuzz’s den.
ArcticCore padded to him and mewed “Want to share a mouse?” HawkStar mewed to her “Sure.” As he sat down EnderSlash came up to him and snarled “You made a mistake, why did you let them back, They helped kill GlowStar, You know this, That’s why he sent them away.” ArcticCore stood up and unsheathed her claws, stalking up to EnderSlash, Snarling at him “If you have a problem with us back, 'EnderPaw', Then leave, MushroomBuzz won’t mind, neither will your kits, they don’t care about you anymore. You're just a frog-hearted, mouse-brain.” EnderSlash jolted back at her snarl, his tail lashing slightly as he crouched slightly, showing his defeat. MushroomBuzz, the medicine cat, the mate and mother to EnderSlash and his kits. She padded over to him and licked his ear and picking the smaller tom up and padded to her den and walked inside, HawkStar sighed, and gazed at ArcticCore and tilted his head as she sat down again and curled into his side and closed her eyes, he purred softly and licked her shoulder calmly. As they both fell asleep, HawkStar placed his head on her side and listened to her breathing.
The sun started to rise and HawkStar was the first one awake so he padded out of camp to go for a calm walk. “HawkStar” Someone called from behind, he turned around to see His brothers walked towards him, He flicked his tail and stretched, yawning “Morning you two, I was just about to go for a walk, want to come with me?” FrogLeap yawned “sure, not like we’re going on a patrol, not a lot of cats trust us yet, I feel unwelcome here sometimes.” RuneFall nodded “Yeah, EnderSlash just gets on my nerves, sometimes I was to kill him.” HawkStar grunted, as he walked through the tunnel out of the camp, the two toms talking behind him “HawkStar?” RuneFall mewed. HawkStar turned and mewed “Yeah?” FrogLeap flicked his tail and looked at RuneFall as he mewed “You should ask ArcticCore about kits, You need something to make you look younger.” HawkStar snarled playfully “How are you calling old, we’re the same age.” FrogLeap chuckled at the two’s fight, but mewed “Yeah, RuneFall, we are the same age.” RuneFall snarled and lashed his tail as they walked towards the small lake in the territory. HawkStar leapt into the water with grace, leaping like a fox hunting in the snow, His brothers watched in shock. “What?” HawkStar said his head above water but the rest of this body under. The two shook their heads and stalked to the water’s edge and sipped into the water. RuneFall slipped under the water quickly, the others looking for him carefully, he popped up behind FrogLeap, who jumped out of the water in surprise. HawkStar laughed at his brothers and slipped out of the water, before the others. He sat on the bank watching the two fight like kits; he chuckled, thinking about kits himself.
The three toms walked back to camp after their water fight and slipped into the camp, the clan awake and sharing tongues, DustFall was sorting out patrols and other things. ArcticCore was laying on the smooth rock outside HawkStar’s den, peacefully asleep, curled into a slight ball, she was lying on her side, with her tail wrapped neatly around her paws, HawkStar looked up at her and smiled, ArcticCore and his borthers looked better then when they first came back. HawkStar nodded to DustFall and leapt up to ArcticCore and laid next to her and placed his head in his paws and fell asleep, her soft fur warming him as he fell asleep.
