All the members on hopes peek's minds were uploaded to computers. This makes them like AI's but its actually them. The headmaster was the only one aware of this but Chiaki (her AI was actually her brain hence her being able to feel emotion) was able to find everyone from dr1 and they are then uploaded to the survivors phones and the class is reunited.
yes this headcannon is mainly around because I don't want anyone to actually die but it isn't that unrealistic if you think about the Izuru Kamakura project.
