Day 2 prompt: First Meeting
You were the child of the second most respected family in all of London. Second only to that, none other than the Joestar family. Head of the house being the widower George Joestar with his late wife Mary and their son Jonathan Joestar. As of late however, there was talk around the city that George was planning to adopt the young Dio Brando, the son of the man who had tried to rob the Joestars a short twelve years earlier.
Growing up as the only child of the noble and rich (L/N) family, you never really knew what it was like to have friends, so when your parents had said to you that George and his son would be joining your family one night for dinner, you couldn't help but be nervous. Nonetheless, you still tried your best to remain calm and collected. And you kept horribly failing at your attempts of containing your excitement of meeting the young Jonathan.
Later that evening, the Joestars had arrived at your manor, of course you were close by when your father had welcomed them into your home, a bright smile worked its way onto the face of both your father and George, considering that the young boy already wore a beautiful grin. Your father was the first to speak, "Welcome to our humble abode, George, and to you as well Jonathan. Please come in, Jonathan, if I remember correctly, the heir to our family is around the same age as yourself. Perhaps you two will get along?"
You stayed in the corner of one of the hallways that branched from the main hall, attempting to keep the majority of your body in the shadows and you watched the interaction between the three adults and Jonathan. Your mother was the next to speak, unable to hear what she had said although you soon understood when you saw the boy known as Jonathan walk towards where you stood, stopping just before the light dropped off and extended his hand, introducing himself.
"Hi, I'm Jonathan, as you probably already know. It's a pleasure to meet you..." he dropped off when he realized that he had yet to hear your name. "(Y/N), I'm (Y/N) (L/N). It's nice to meet you, too, Jonathan."
"Likewise. Well I must ask, is there something you'd rather be doing than this? I'm already well aware that once Dio moves in with us, he'll be getting special attention anyway. From my father that is." Thinking over the words the young boy had just said, you open your mouth and close it again, truly debating if you should or shouldn't say that thoughts that are on the tip of your tongue.
"There is this one field on the edge of the property, the sunsets look greatest from there and there's a small stream we can wade in too. If that sparks any interest." The young man looked as if he was contemplating it even though that look was on his face after the words of confirmation had spilled out of his mouth.
Grabbing him by the hand, you pull him out of your manor and across your property. The whole time the two of you were running across the field, there were bright smilies plastered to your face and small fits of childish laughter would escape your mouths.
As the sun starts to set more and more, approaching the horizon as the two of you dashed across the lush, green grass of the lawn until the two of you reached the hill where the lawn sloped off into the small river below. You stopped running at the top of the hill, the young boy close behind. He stops next to you atop the hill and took your hand into his, his breath coming out in short gasps in attempts to regain control over it.
"This is beautiful (Y/N), I'm glad that the first time I saw it was with you." He turns away from the horizon, facing you. You turn to face him, only to see a smile as bright as the sun itself, a light rosy blush evident on his cheeks. Whether it was a blush from running at his top speed chasing after you, or if it was a blush from seeing you, that's something neither of you will ever know.
As the sun truly begins to set, Jonathan places a haste kiss to your forehead. You felt your face erupt in heat, and you didn't even have to look to see that Jonathan's face must have been just as red as your own. "Jonathan.." You take your eyes off the ground to face the boy who stood in front of you, a light breeze ruffling both yours and his hair but before you could fix it, he tucks the stands behind your ear. When he spoke again, his voice was only filled with love, "Yes, (Y/N)?"
Before you knew what you were doing and before you could answer his question, you were leaning up and had your lips pressed against his. After pulling away, the two of you stood next to each other, each of you holding the other in your arms as you watched the sun set together.
Once the sun had set Jonathan had decided that it would be best for you both to head home, the fireflies in the grass were the only light as the two of you walked back to your home; hand in hand.
