Flufftober day 29 prompt: Family
You starred up at the celing of your bedroom, waves of panic periodically washing over you. Tonight was the night that your family was supposed to meet your fiancé's family. You had kept telling yourself over and over that there was nothing to worry about, considering that you've been at Jonathan's home more often than not and knew his father and brother very well, and Jonathan had been over to your house countless times in the past three years that you were together and knew your family, yet still you worried. You had invited Jonathan the night before, while your parents weren't home, to discuss how the hell you were going to tell them that you and the male were engaged, but your talking had quickly turned to kissing and then to making out followed by sex. So instead of having a plan, you lay in your bed with the male's arm over your body as you tried to focus on calming your breathing and not to wake him; the celing being the one of the three things that you had allowed your mind to focus on.
After having to physically pull Jonathan out of your bed, the two of getting dressed and grabbing something small to eat before heading out for the day, even if it was only to spend the day talking while walking around your property as you waited for George Joestar and Dio Brando to show up at your family's manor. Every thought that was bouncing around in your head had slowly disappeared as Jonathan had you pinned against a tree, his lips attacking yours and your neck, the bright red marks sure to fade to purples later that day. You deepened the kiss by pulling his head closer to yours with one hand, sharing breath, and your other hand fell to the bark beside your body, your fingers carefully running over one of the many hearts Jonathan had carved in trees all around you home and his. "J-Jonathan," you pant out, your face red from the blush and from lack of oxygen. "Save it for to-tonight."
You had arrived home just as the Joestar family carriage rolled up the pathway, the two horses that pulled it shook their heads and stamped their hooves on the loose rock, the iron horseshoes clinking on the hard surface of the rock. You and Jonathan walked into your house with his family, the realization of what is soon to be said finally sits in with you, more panic settling in and fear that everyone can see your ring that Jonathan had given you, despite the fact that it was on a chain and down the front of your clothing. Sitting down at the dining table, everyone slowly starts talking to one another about no real topic in particular, everyone except yourself, Jonathan and Dio that was, and even out of the three of you, only you and Jonathan knew, unless Dio had caught on that was. You had figured that the later you told them would be better, but waiting longer only happened to increase the worry that you were feeling, the dreaded emotion bubbling up from inside you.
"I have an announcement to make." Jonathan announced to the table as he stood up, drawing everyone's attention. "Sit down, Love." You say and you stand up and look down the table to your family. "Mother, Father, Mr. Joestar. We have some news," You pause for a moment, looking over their expressions before continuing, "Jonathan and I are engaged." You quickly sit back down as you felt faint take over you, the last thing you remember was Jonathan quickly wrapping his arms around you, laying a soft kiss on your cheek. "I love you, (Y/N)."
