CMDR David Sawyer's Galactic Journal
September 15th, 3306
I almost died again today. I was doing some deliverys, hauling cargo back and forth between starports, when I was stopped by a man claiming to be part of the system authority. He said his name was Para and said he needed to check my cargo hold to make sure that I wasn't carrying anything illegal. The thing is, he could've just scanned my ship and he would've known if I was smuggling illegal goods. I took a ballsy move and started shooting at him, I just knew this guy was a pirate. It turned out my hunch was correct and we ended up battling for about an hour before I finally gunned him down. Apparently he had a huge bounty and I got enough to afford a new ship, but I decided to save it, there's something I'm working towards.
