CMDR David Sawyer's Galactic Journal
October 3rd, 3306
We established a group dedicated to investigating the newly discovered Thargoids called the Gangstars (a guy named Wyatt named it that, so we went with it). We started off by heading to the place where I was interdicted and scanned. We were able to find a bit of a trail from the Thargoid ship, so we followed the trail and came to a system with a dead star and another one of those ceiling fan ships, it was just sitting there motionless, sitting in front of the star. Out of no where, another ceiling fan ship came up behind it and they started duking it out. They used a combination of strange lasers and ramming before eventually one broke into pieces and the other one warped off somewhere. We hauled ass over to the floating ship parts and we were able to salvage some strange tissue, ship parts, and a little USB-esque technology that we haven't figured out to open on an average laptop. We took the parts back to our rinky-dink orbital base and began investigating. The tissue was easy, it was obviously skin tissue, so we know there's actually living organisms inside the ships. We concluded the parts to be something resembling thrusters, and and ships weapon. We're gonna continue investigating the USB thingy, but so far, we've made excellent progress on finding out what the Thargoids are.
