My heart is pounding against my ribcage, driven by anxiety and fear so intense that I'm shaking from head to toe. My vision narrows to a POV-style focus where all I can see are my hands gripping the steering wheel and the enveloping night atmosphere.

Where am I going? Especially in such a hurry? And why do I feel so much fear?

The car accelerates at top speed!

Why am I going so fast? Slow down, you idiot!!

"Slow down!!" I shouted at myself with panic but I wasn't listening at all and when my head involuntary turned to look out the window, I saw another pair of headlights zooming in my direction!

NO!!

The sudden collision with the other car jolted my entire body, abruptly waking me up.

I gasped, shooting up in bed, my heart racing from the vivid, horrible dream. I calmed myself down, reminding myself it was only a dream and that I was fine... well, partly.

"That was weird" I whispered as I lay back down and glanced at the clock.

3:34 am

I finally had a dream again, which was frighteningly vivid, and completely unrelated to my current circumstances. Turning to my side, I lay back down, in need of rest, I had no idea why but I kept tossing and turning having the feeling of something burning into my back.

I recently woke up and had a pleasant call with Jake, sharing a sweet conversation. He has work today, but we'll reunite soon. Entering the kitchen, I still feel a bit lonely, missing everyone. As I open the fridge and gulp orange juice from the carton, suddenly,

I quickly gagged and rushed to the sink, spitting out the sour juice and then rinsing my mouth twice., "That was disgusting!"I muttered, securing the lid once more. What else will come my way today?

Eck! That was nasty!

I returned to the fridge and, with a grimace still on my face, I put the carton back and shut the door.

Then I remembered my plan from earlier so I picked up the house phone dialing Jake first,

It kept on ringing and ringing, What?? He always answers me what gives? So next I called Misty and the same thing. I sighed in annoyance then decided to call Mom.

And thank God! She finally answers,

"Hey, sweetie!"

It sounded like she was at some gathering

"Mom, I want to discuss something with you" Sounding urgent which caught her attention.

"What is it? Are you okay?" Asking

Finally, she's able to listen

"I'm fine; I just wanted to know if I could visit Grandma and Grandpa while during your stay in London?"

I understand that she might be surprised by my sudden invitation, and I don't hold it against her. Although my grandparents and I have a decent relationship, it often feels like they see me as someone else when we meet.

That's what keeps me paused and confused.

Grandma's eyes often water or react strangely around me, and whenever I inquire with Mom, she either disregards the issue or shifts the conversation.

I swear my family members tend to be odd.

'Are you insane!? They live in New York! And there's no way you are traveling alone, especially on an airplane! Mae"
