Promise Me

Chapter 3

Josh's POV
After Colleen wakes me up, we decide to go to the beach.
Colleen comes out of the bathroom, and she's wearing a beautiful bikini. "Wow." I thought to myself, she's beautiful.
We arrive at the beach, and set up our chairs. I brought my sunscreen, and put some on me so I don't get cooked. While we are at the beach, some girl approach us. They are wearing one of colleens shirts. Colleen freaks out. Like literally has a heart attack.
"Baby what's wrong?" I ask her.
"THATS THE GIRL FROM MY DREAM." she says in horror.
"What dream?" I ask. She looks at the girls in horror. She then realizes that none of that was real, so she got over it. We took pictures with them, blah blah blah. After that little scene, which I don't quite understand yet, Colleen is sun taning, and dang. She looks perfect. I just want to get married right now, and have kids with her.

Colleens POV
I crack open my eyes, and see Josh staring at me.
"Josh honey, what are you doing?" I ask.
He snaps out of it.
"Oh what? Oh, um. I uh-" I cut him off.
"It's ok baby." I kiss him and sparks fly.

[A few hours later]

Josh and I go out for sushi. I heard they had really good sushi here, so Josh and I got a lot of sushi. As I'm eating, Josh gets 2 beers, and I get water.
"Josh honey don't get too many beers, you have to drive home." I say.
"Haha don't worry about it baby, I'll be fine." he says. he's drunk.
I ask the waitor for our check, and Josh gets in the drivers seat. I pray to god that we don't die. As we are driving down the highway, Josh thinks it's ok to swerve in between lanes.
"JOSH STOP HONEY." I say. I try to snap him out of it, but it's too late.
Josh causes us to get slammed into another car, and my head gets jerked, hitting the window. The window breaks, and everything goes black.

Josh's POV
I turn to see Colleen unconscious. I turns out, I wasn't drunk. I was just playing around. I look and see my leg cut open. The ambulance comes, and puts me and Colleen on a gerny. I ball my eyes out. "Its all my fault" I think to myself. The paramedics check to see if Colleen is ok, but she's not waking up. They rush us to the hospital, and put us in different rooms.
"What if she's dead." I say to the doctor.
"Well how did this happen?" The doctor asked.
I told him what happened, and he was in awe.
"Alright Mr. Evans, enough chit chat. we need to get your leg fixed up." The doctor gives me an attracted look. She sows in stitches, which hurts. A lot. (PLOT TWIST MIRANDA IS THE DOCTOR. CREDIT TO @Troyleritus )
I ask the doctor if I can go see Colleen, and he says yes. He puts me in a wheelchair, and takes me to Colleens room.

I enter Colleens room, and I see that she's still unconscious. The doctor leaves me with her.
"Colleen. I know you can't hear me, but I just want to say, I love you. I'm a child, I know that. But please. please. stay with me in this world. I need you here with me. because I'll always choose you, no matter what." Just then, her pulse machine goes to a long beep. "HELP WE NEED A DOCTOR." I scream. The doctor rushes in here, and sees Colleen. He does CPR, and it dosent work, he takes his metal plates, rubs them and presses them on Colleen. It dosent work. They tried CPR on her multiple times. Nothing worked.
I start sobbing. She's dead, all because of me. I put my hands in my head,and cry. I look up at Colleen. I hold her hand.
"I'll always choose you." I said. I give her a kiss on the lips. and I hold it.

Colleens POV
I see a bright white light in front of me.
I hear a voice talking to me. It's Josh. I can't see him. I try to speak, but no words come out. I hear him say "Ill always choose you." and I feel a strong kiss. As the kiss broke, the light went away.

Josh's POV
I broke the kiss and cry on Colleens shoulder. I feel her shaking, and quickly get up. I stare at Colleen, and I notice that her eyes are opening.
"DOCTOR." I yell
The doctor rushes in the room, and sees Colleen waking up.
"How did this happen? She's supposed to be dead! Nobody can survive that long ." he says
"Well I kissed her." I said looking up at the doctor.
"Joshua, you are a life saver." the doctor says.

Colleens POV
My vision is coming back, but it's blurry. I can see Josh looking at me. I smile.
"Colleen, you are the only person I will love." he says.
I smile at him, and we kiss for a short amount of time, but it seems like forever.
