Layers upon layers the dust settles Part by part, come away all shells Disguises are used to hide Until the wound continued to be wide Some pain should be embraced Yet not all stars, upon, they're gazed Some are ignored and overlooked But some leaves others hooked Until they cannot anymore see This world that brings agony Then the world is nothing but bright Yet knowing that nothing was right We decided to stay and bide longer We knew that the earth will not be here forever But we see of all its unfairness Behind the world that brings wealth and happiness Is the world that tricks the eye And the one where pain and misery lie And when the void delivers its sentence That is our world, where there is only silence
This world is full of opposites As one would notice when one is in the streets Unfairness is the rule everyone knew And everything decided to change its view Some are strong, some are weak Others are healthy, others are sick When will the world see justice? As one would deeply hold a promise So a child is born without sense What would happen if the world said hence? What if we're just deceived Should we accept that as a relief? As I looked into a valley of dreams I guess one would hear broken screams All people hope, and all will be forgotten History repeats itself, the cycle goes again No one will recall the day I destroyed the world It was beyond our own, all penance sold It all started when I became a pestilence And wished that I could become silence
I saw a truth everyone hid I knew the faults that all of them did I committed it all to memory And I see deep suffering and agony As I gained power to success I began to quietly regress I started to see that I wasn't strong As for though, I thought nothing was wrong I thought I knew what contentment means And I was wrong, so I committed many sins As long as there is light, there are shadows As long as there is happiness, there is agony and sorrow If there is Life, then there is Death There will be pain because one has breath There is peace, so there is war They are near, so I am far Once they find me, I'd be long gone And the world is destroyed, all deeds done I will run for my life, and endless tens And that would be as much as my silence
Because we were in much distress Running away from what we call progress We can see the ruins we made Freedom is why we exist Yet when we woke up, everything ceased We saw nothing beyond our minds We understood little, what could we find? We strode ahead, by and by Until I saw something that caught my eye I stoop down and picked a shard Against its malice I let down my guard We received punishment And we ended where we're sent We destroyed a world of trickery And we're stuck in a cage of victory We won against ourselves Against all knowledge in shelves I saw nothing when I looked into the lenses And beyond my world, there is only silence

I got happy with lines.
The poem you just read has twenty lines in one stanza and yes, it's long. I don't know what it means.
I wrote this five days after I wrote the previous poem and I don't know what my fourteen-year-old self was thinking. It's really a pain typing this poem and I think it's a pain in rewriting this thing into my poetry notebook back then.
Probably that's why I stopped writing these long poems after this collection. Lol.
So, what do you think of the poem? Comment below. :)
